  1. Fixed to include the entire report. I thought there was something missing the first time through,. :)
  2. I'm pretty high on both, Pie has great speed and has 5-tool potential. And Marshall has a great curve and can hit a dime 60 feet away, He's got deadly accuracy. This is the second time you've said this and it's the second time I'll call you out on it. Marshall's is above average at best. Where you get the idea that he's got this Greg Maddux laser eye control is beyond me. You certainly couldn't have gotten it from actually watching him pitch. Scouting reports. Read Baseball Fever much? And I quote: Quoting with attribution - what a concept.
  3. I don't know where to start.
  4. But what about Macias????????
  5. I say leave him in till he gives up a baserunner. Is a HR considered a baserunner?
  6. And just because a guy is all hulked up doesn't mean he uses steroids.
  7. Considering my last name....I'd sure like to see Moore come up and be a Stud...it'd be cool to have a Jersey... My last name is Moore, too. :) The Moore, the merrier.
  8. That's good enough to get him up to the #2 3B in the system for July (or overall for that matter).
  9. Myth. Jones is getting paid by the Cubs whether he plays for the Cubs or someone else. Hendry didn't like the return for the amount of money the Cubs had to pick up on the remainder of Jones contract. Both sides thought they had a deal with the Cubs picking up a reasonable amount of Jones remaining contract. They couldn't agree on the definition of reasonable, so no deal.
  10. Depending on the actual PTBNL, this doesn't seem that much different than DFAing him. It's about 33% better not even counting the PTBNL.
  11. The PTBNL also must not have a crappy contract making it impossible to dump him (dead or alive).
  12. The Cubs don't analyze that particular stat. I wish they'd at least analyze age. As a 25 year old in AA, I'd hope he's putting up pretty good numbers. Fox's strength is power, not OBP.
  13. Fox is corner OF, 1B or C. According to Minor League Splits he has exactly 1 AB at 3B this year. 41 at C, 135 at 1B, 67 at LF and 61 at RF.
  14. As of 10:30 Central this link was still showung 7-17 results.
  15. I respectfully disagree. And I would add that several who responded negatively initially later changed their opinion to the majority neutral (meh, whatever, etc). Since I don't generally read the Poll forum, did they take a poll on the trade?
  16. There were some slamming that trade, but my read was the overall tone was summed up nicely by the founder: "meh"
  17. Not to mention run out of Chicago... He's disliked here. He's not particularly liked in Dallas either - now Rick Bayless, that's another story =D>
  18. You think other teams are prejudiced against pagans?
  19. For the last four weeks, they've been thrilled with who has been behind the plate. Presumably that includes Soto as well?
  20. His splits make him look like a platoon player at best - .952 OPS against RHP but .592 against lefties. What would you call Felix Pie? I couldn't come up with words - OPS LHP/RHP/Total with Iowa this year: .443/1.254/1.057 I guess that's why they have LOOGY's.
  21. The real issue is that someone is going to get Sammy and if the Cubs don't pick up a better RH bat Hendry is going to have to answer for that (to NSBB if not the rest of the baseball world).
  22. His splits make him look like a platoon player at best - .952 OPS against RHP but .592 against lefties.
  23. If the Yankees trade ARod would the new team have the right to sign him to an extension and keep the Texas money? If so that increases his trade value if you can wrap up the extension at the same time as the trade.
  24. Yeah, Soto isn't anything special. But you are talking about a legit opportunity to see an increase of 300+ OPS points out of a position, from the ~400 OPS provide by Hill and Bowen to possibly a 700 from Soto. Any such move is going to draw attention. Hey, I'm here, too. Just wish we had more to pontificate about, like why aren't we hearing more about the 3 teams interested in Izturis?
