if you put them all in black turtlenecks with figaro chains and then have suge knight in the clouds hanging vanilla ice from the top of wrigley... those would be nice touches to the death row thing.
Just 3 so far-his OBP does lead the team though. Yeah I thought he was supposed to be Neifi #2. (not aimed at you). I agree. These 3 spring training walks show that he's seen the error of his previous 4600 professional plate appearances where he couldn't take a walk even when he didn't have a bat in his hands. he doesn't have a bat in his hands, it's a glove. gosh!
Gordon still has to prove that he's ready to play in the majors everyday. If he proves that he can, he'll be at 3b and Teahen will be in a corner outfield spot. In the meantime, it's probably a good move on the Royals part to give Teahen reps at 3b and in the OF. i guess that's the thing, i have heard nothing as far as gordon is concerned in spring training - though royals news is far and few between.
roto edit: also teahan and kinsler are still on the free agent list. i also picked up howie kendrick for something insignificant and may try picking up dave roberts for willy tavares.

find a keeper league? i am in a league with people at my work, but it's a year to year draft thing and i am much more interested in keeping players forevah
if we have a bullpen with miller, eyre, cotts, wuertz, howry, wood & dempster, how many innings do starters really have to throw? (don't get me wrong, i'd rather have marquis and miller switch spots, but still...)

He wasn't a crappy lefty. He just got old. Oh, he was pretty crappy the past few years. That's because he got old. regardless of age he was crappy. i remember being scared everytime he took the mound towards the end of his stay in chicago.
I'd like to hear Sandberg say what he thought of the Dusty era. I'm sure he wouldn't have too many nice things to say. Ken how exactly does one throw a hat into a ring?
I think it also shows how much people underrate pitchers when trying to pin a number on them. Yeah, in a perfect world, the Cubs would have the Tigers rotation of last year and have four significantly above-average starters. But they don't. I don't care what world you live in, the Cubs do not have one #1, three #4s and a #5, at least not unless everything goes wrong. Well I have been saying that this whole time, and now this new article proves it. Even at WORST we don't have three #4's. And at BEST we've got a #2 and #3. i'm not saying you aren't, but i'm a cubs fan. never ever say at worst. ever.
