  1. josh hamilton is a monster. how in the world can a player go from being in the minors three, four years ago, not play for three years, go straight into a major league starting lineup and tear things up? man alive. i would figure an addiction like his would be more debilitating on power strength, but apparently not.
  2. hill struck out by the tomato can edit: i guess not. i just kind of wanted to say it this way too.
  3. no. not that extreme, but neifi was a little better than ronny's been playing. ronny will get better. neifi was never good. hate to use the "tools" argument, but it applies in this case. hate to argue with ya sulley, because they both suck don't get me wrong, but if ronny is going to get better i wish he would show it at some point (outside of spring training). when you have two equally sucky SS, you take the younger one with the tools. i will give you that. wait. am i actually arguing for neifi perez right now? ok, i digress.

  6. you can see why he's been doing so well. hopefully, hitters will never catch on to when he's going to throw it. it still kind of scares me that it may happen... it's just a curve and fastball.
  7. game threads are so heart-wrenchingly intense! i love it.
  8. maybe hill actually gives pie more protection than cedeno would?
  9. cubs will lose 3-1, in agonizing fashion. rich hill will walk only one, but hang a curve to the next hitter, who goes deep, giving up 2 runs in 7 innings, also striking out 11. howry, in the eighth, will give up back to back doubles to the jones' the cubs will score when lee doubles home pie.
  10. I'll buy that. I don't. He was in great shape last year and started bad. So he gets away from the fast food joints when he heads south for the winter. How does this show commitment? so because he came in ripped last spring he only avoided fast food joints in the offseason? hmmmm
  11. i don't know about that. he came to camp pretty ripped last year.
  12. seems like everyone left here with the quickness
  13. wow. please please please get good zambrano.
  14. Looks like he's making it easy. Trade Jones for a sandwich and make it Pie in Center, Soriano in right, and (hopefully) Murton in left. probably soriano in left, murton in right, since alfonso has played there before.
  15. well, maybe PECOTA was right after all...
  16. if one expects something, when that something happens is one still inclined to flipping out? YES fair enough. i'm emo, so i'll just sit here in my cubicle and cut. cut because it feels so gooood.
