  1. That's poor logic, just because he got 2 banners doesn't validate a pick...otherwise Green and Humphrey would be lotto picks. (Keep in mind I like the pick...and I HATE Noah.) it's better than "Noah sucks" with no further explanation No, it's not. okay, this is ridiculous. Here: Michael Jordan sucked great argument, right? no better than: B.J. Armstrong is a legend, look at his rings. right, because Noah was as important to Florida as Armstrong was to the Bulls. brilliant analogy listen, im not jazzed that the bulls drafted noah either. but what do you expect at 9, and im not going to speculate on what trade might have been available. also that bj armstrong logic is so ridiculous I thought it was a joke at first. The logic saying Noah cant suck because he won 2 titles is a joke also.

His NBA skills can be questioned as such to say he sucks.
  3. OK I turned the channel for a min what did i miss with Portland?
  4. Couldn't disagree more...he is much more likely to bust than to ever be a star. Take away the crazy hair, the great supporting cast he had (he was actually part of the supporting cast to Horford/Brewer), the famous parents and the bombastic personality and you're left with an above-average, undersized non-scoring tweener. Most overrated player in the draft. Certainly he has bust potential, but you are looking past his ceiling. But what ceiling Raisin? In no world do I see him ever averaging 15 points a game, and hes going to get bullied around down low which will mitigate his rebounding effort. At best I see a 10 and 8 guy Honestly, with our team I'm fine with a 10-8 guy. I could also see a 1 bl, .5 st, and 2.5 a line as an extension. Id be fine with it too, if it wasnt acquired from the 9th pick in the draft. Heh, then you'd have been disappointed with Hawes too. Yea I know I would have been perfectly fine trading this pick and getting some later picks, or picks for next year. I just didnt think being in the 9 spot this year was going to help us much. I think free agency, or trades is where they will have to make noise.

  6. QFT, although I really like Tyrus after this year.

In no world do I see him ever averaging 15 points a game, and hes going to get bullied around down low which will mitigate his rebounding effort. At best I see a 10 and 8 guy I can definitely see 15-8-3 blocks at his height. Add a little bulk and he's going to get a lot of points off second chances, etc. I guess I dont see 15-8-3 as "star" numbers. Thats a role player nowhere near a "star" in my opinion. Mmm, my bad. I meant 18-10-3 which I view as star numbers. He needs to bulk up, but he has a passable midrange jumper already and the activity on the offensive boards will results in a lot of second chance points. Odds are he starts bulking up then he loses some of his activity on the boards, thats why I dont like the pick because hes a tweener. Depending on what "type" you make him you then lose the other type and he becomes just another NBA player.
  8. Noah is 7-0, 225. PJ Brown is 6-11, 240, and Wallace is 6-9, 240. It's not beyond a stretch of the imagination for Noah to put on a good 10 lbs of muscle in workouts and training. I think it's a lot closer than you would think. We will have to agree to disagree I guess. I dont see Noah as being an NBA post defender even with 10 lbs. He'll need more than 10 lbs but he should easily get 10 lbs. before the season starts - that's bukie's point. Ok but he starts bulking up and then he loses his "energy and ability to run" and becomes somebody who can D up a post and still not score. I think hes a tweener and you lose something from him depending on which way you make him.

  11. He needs to add alot to that frame to D up NBA big men.

Most overrated player in the draft. How is Noah undersized? 7 feet not tall enough? 225 not built enough? He's far too thin to muscle up with the true centers and power forwards in the league and his offensive game is too weak to play the 3. Completely agree. To compare him to Ben W is a joke. Noahs body is nowhere near Ben W.
  15. Noah will never be able to muscle up on D like Ben Wallace. Noah will get ran over down low in the NBA
  16. Hell the way he looked tonight they can market Bozo outfits
  17. I dont know, but I really dont want to have to see him and his freaking act for 81 games a year. I hate the fact that his offense is lacking greatly also. I think he's a better offensive player than what he has shown thus far because of playing on such a strong team with other studs like Brewer and Horford. And believe me, I'm a UCLA alum. I can't stand what he did and said at the championship game two years ago and I hate the guy. But he's the best player available and a great pick. I dont see the "star" potential at all in Noah. I think he will be lucky to average 15 points a game in his NBA career. I dunno, I just think a top 10 pick should be more of a "star" player potential. I dont think Noah will be anywhere near a star in the NBA. Noah has "star" potential but no one else left on the board (besides Julian Wright) has that high a potential. I dont see the star potential with Noah at all. I think he will be lucky to average 15 points a game in his career.
  18. You call him comedy potential, I call him annoying as hell lol. I dont know if I can take his act for 81 games. I sure hope Ben W knocks him down a level or so, and tells him to shut his damn mouth, and just play the game.
  19. At least Noah is coming to the town where Bozo was from, because he sure as hell looked like him.

  22. He looks like a damned clown, Jesus.
  23. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  24. Tyrus Thomas wasnt a gamble?
  25. It's so nice also. Plus then the analysts aren't stretching everything out and grasping for things to say (which generally ends up with a bunch of useless, boring information). They have, at most, 3 minutes to talk about the player since Stuart Scott interviews them for a minute or two. Agreed. Its a good thing when something lessens the amount of talk from the ESPN talking heads
