    Listening to the Score via XM and in between innings they reported Tank was pulled over going 40 in a 25 and the officer suspected drinking. If so, obviously the 6 game thing is no longer possible. But it's quite possible Goodell adds to the suspension. And since Angelo already wanted to dump him once, he may do just that now. What a freaking idiot. I dont condone drinkng and driving, but if you have been drinking, do the damn speed limit moron.

    Umm because he sucks? Maybe Lou is playing Theriot because hes younger and feels that maybe Theriot could get better, where as we/he knows what he has in Izturis. Theriot is older than Izturis. Ok how about younger in a baseball sense. Izturis has been in the Majors and sucked for a period of time, so maybe Lou is giving Theriot a chance to prove he sucks as well.

    OK the point of this thread is so everybody who keeps saying "Soto is hurt, thats why the Cubs havent called him up". Soto has been starting at catcher the past week, and needs called up. Koyie Hill is not the answer to anything at our catcher position. Bring him up, and let Bowen and him split time so we can go into next year knowing what we have in Soto.

    And Barrett was/is a crappy baseball player, beyond the offense, he has no other redeeming quality. Poor base runner, can't catch the ball, called a poor game, cannot throw anyone out, if Bowen hits .220 but, provides more complete baseball. He'll increase the Cubs' chances of playing better baseball and perhaps, winning baseball. Would somebody tell me when they banned pitchers shaking the catcher off? Ive always thought it was legal, but apparently, the catcher is the only who has any say in any of this. Also I guess I can see your point about Barret being so bad, because our pitchers have pitched awesome since the trade and the team is 2-0.....oh wait nevermind they arent.

    That was from before he signed with Texas and announced he wanted to return. Well, if we can get 25 players of whom it can be said: I don't see the downside. Am I missing something? Am I missing something because I have no idea what the hell you mean.

    I blame Hendry for getting squat for Barret, along with countless other things. This team cant afford to have a defensive minded catcher who cant hit(see Koyie Hill). We already have black holes at SS, RF(when Jones starts) and now catcher. Hendry is to blame for this big pile of crap thats being put on the field, and for not giving Soto a shot to see what he can do. I thought Soto was recovering from an arm injury and just playing 1B/DH right now. Nope hes caught 3 of the last 4 games.
