  1. Sounds like the Cards are going to a 6 man rotation from here on out. They are removing Reyes from the rotation however, and inserting.....Mike Maroth. Mulder is also back in the rotation. I find it odd that a team who has struggled getting good starting pitching all year, they now feel they have 6 guys who can start? Rotation vs Pitt Well Pinero Mulder Maroth Should be interesting to see how Mulder comes back
  2. Lets hope Oswalt comes out dealing like he did vs Stl last week. Also lets hope those blisters pop back up on Sheets. Go Stos Go Pirates
  3. Doubt it Floyds a veteran who's been there. Young kids forget how to play baseball in sept, thats why you need veterans On the radio pre-game Lou stated that Floyd needed to step it up and start hitting. I thought it was interesting that Lou would single him out. Floyd had some opportunities to drive in some runs today and failed. Interestingly enough, as soon as Lou had a chance, he pinch hit for Floyd and Murton came through. I wouldn't be suprised to see Piniella give Murton a shot to play more down the stretch. Lou has proven that he will go with the hot hand (Theriot, Fontenot, Ward (to some extent)) at times. Well its about time he called FLoyd out. Floyd has been allowed to suck all year, and continue to get playing time, while Lou has benched Jones, Izturis, Murton, etc.... when they struggled. FLoyd is not an everyday starter anymore plain and simple. Murton should be starting against all lefties, and he should also be starting against rightys. Since the break Murton is now OPS'ing 935 whereas FLoyd is at a robust 701 since the break, and for the year its 741 compared to Murtons is 761. So for all the talk of Murtons struggles this year he has been better than Floyd, but yet Floyd keeps on starting, its ridiculous, and really needs to stop.
  4. Why? I don't understand why. because trachsel is not good. that's why. Marshall has been averaging less than 75 pitches per start the past month. It really seems like he needs a break. I'd rather see what Gallagher's got, but I think giving Trachsel a couple starts in Marshall's place is a good thing. I just hope that if Trachsel sucks it up they'll give Marshall the spot back after a couple times through the rotation. Lou has taken Marshall out numerous times this year when Marshall wasnt struggling at all. Him averaging 75 pitches is out of his control since Lou seems to have a very quick hook when it comes to Marshall.

  6. Yea and hes pitching pretty good also
  7. Sit Fat Elvis down Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Ok I hope the guy in the apt next to me wasnt sleeping I was yelling like a 10 yr old schoolgirl lol
  9. I think it was when onions were the thing to put on your belt. Gimme 5 Bees for a quarter you'd say. And I think people are overreacting to KyHen a little bit. Im not callin him a troll as he/she does provide alot of quality posts. I just think its odd to come to a Cubs board and continuously post in a other games thread
  10. Calm down, dude. Honestly. Did I miss something here? Calm down? You are completely overblowing everything I said. (I know what's coming next -- "you should talk.") Yep, I'm the one being childish here. You asked a question as to why Ramirez would argue there. I responded with why he or anyone else would say 3 words to the ump in that situation. Is it because I called the Cards a dogbleep team earlier? I honestly don't understand where I'm overreacting here. You are right. I really dont understand why Cards fans come to post in the other games thread here at all. They have a real good board with their game thread at gateway why come post in a other games thread here?
  11. Sometimes I worry I might be crazy. Then, out of nowhere, a random post will set me straight. Hahaha, being the lurker I am, those posts cracked me up when I read them. I would love to have a drink with her and find out why exactly she hates Ryno so. This is the same person that hates Mr. Grace for dirtbag-ish reasons, right? She has had to have had some awesome firsthand run-ins with these guys. Two things: I don't drink and I'm very fond of Mark Grace. Im sure the feelings mutual........at least for that night it was.
  12. And Murton does it again. Can we lock this ridiculous thread?
  13. Seriously START MURTON FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YOU IDIOT LOU
  14. Yeah, I was kind of surprised he argued it. hes probably just sick of a pitch that isnt a strike being called a strike. St. Albert wouldn't have said a word. He wouldn't have broken his helmet either. Would've taken it off signed it and given it to orphans. Orphans with diseases. I'm not insinuating that at all. I'm just saying (as has been pointed out), it was already called a strike earlier in the at-bat... why would he take the pitch? You didn't ask why he'd take the pitch, you asked why he'd argue, what the hell do you expect? It's a pitch he's had called on him a few times today(not that exact one, I thought the others were further outside) and he hasn't agreed with it all day, when it winds up being a called 3rd on you in a key situation, what else is he gonna do?? And if by argue you mean say 3 words to him, then yes he argued. It was a quick unnecessary tossing. Agreed its not like his mouth was going when he slammed his helmet. He slammed his helmet and wasnt even talking, then turns says something and the ump kicks him out.BS

I'm just saying (as has been pointed out), it was already called a strike earlier in the at-bat... why would he take the pitch? Because it was a ball. Aram doesnt argue EVER, Ill tend to believe him on if it was a strike over you or the jackass behind the plate
  16. Way to stick up for your player Lou you freaking coward. You sat on your ass and did nothing last weekend while the umps kept screwing us with their zone, and now today you go out there and basically say and do nothing. You coward.
  17. Lou better get kicked out Noway that was a damn strike
  18. Ok good job Lee....not Please Aram Please Please Please
