  1. Growing up means shutting your mouth and just pitching. There is no reason to do all the talk that Z does, when he hasnt accomplished that much at the ML level.
  2. How is he fine? Hes pitched good for 2 months and sucked for every other month, and we are in a pennant race when we need our ace to step it up. Or is this another one of your ways to come back later when Z turns it around(which the odds state he will) and say "see guys Im right again gosh Im smart"? There is noway in hell you can call fans fickle with Z after seeing the way hes performed this year.
  3. Z also did say that the fans pay to see a good pitcher and right now hes not a good pitcher. However he says that when something bad happens in a family, you expect your brother or sister to support you and show you love, and instead the fans tryied piling on him. Said he will remember it in the future when things are going good, whatever that means. Bottom line is, Z needs to grow up. He really doesnt want to start a war of words with his fanbase when he just signed a long term deal. Right now is when DLee or Wood need to go to him and tell him this and that he should probably offer an apology.
  4. The Trib doesnt have the article up yet, but I explained a little more in another post. When the article comes out Ill post it. But he doesnt think he deserves to be bood. i see that now. i was sure he was just saying he heard the fans and knew that he sucked, this just blows me away. i guess it's time to start the move to run him out of town, should be fun Right after signing? Oh God, this could really start to suck. things could get really hilariously bad pretty easily. everything will be cool if zambrano can avoid sucking for a little while, but if he has a couple more bad starts and keeps getting booed, who knows what will happen. Agreed if he doesnt turn this around quickly, and the Cubs miss out on the playoffs, he will be the scapegoat.

  6. Good times. Yea when he pointed at his head alot of people in the gamethread took it as "I know I sucked, my bad" but thats not what he meant at all. He said he doesnt deserve to be bood, and thought the Cubs had the best fans in baseball, but now he sees they only think of themselves. wow Just shut up and pitch Z, how bout you do that.
  7. Says Cubs fans only think about themselves by booing him. Screw you Z
  8. Yea, and seeing Cards fans who are happy about it because Reyes is out if the rotation blows my mind even more.
  9. No its not its his arm that is causing him to make bad pitches. Why does there always have to be an excuse for Z when he sucks? His antics, or hes hurt, whatever how about its because hes sucked, nothing else to say but hes sucked, and cant throw strikes consistently just like the rest of his career.
  10. Ill buy you premium for the next 99 years if that happens lol
  11. Yeah, that doesn't come close to passing the smell test. Haven't won one since '03, when they won both. Won 1 apiece from '99-'01. Won 2 in '98. Yea I remembered hearing they hadnt won 1 since something but I couldnt remember how long it had been.
  12. Yea back surgery again if I remember correctly
  13. Yea Peavy is rarely off, but it really seems like AZ has our number every year, but we arent exactly tearing things up against SD either.
  14. Id say it was a decent day at the plate. Hes definatly looked more comfortable facing rightys since he came back up. It seems like hes taking the ball opposite field alot more now like last year, than he was earlier in the year.
  15. Yep. Zambrano has to get his act together. Without him at his best, this will be a very short postseason. If he doesnt get straightened out I dont think there will be a post season. Obviously. But the chances of the Cubs making it with a less than stellar Zambrano are much higher than them actually doing anything in the playoffs. Its just something I have been looking at lately. The most likely 1st round opponents are either SD or AZ, assuming the Mets lock up the best record. I'm personally hoping for AZ to win the division. I don't like the CUbs chances playing SD with their lack of success against Peavy and Young this year. I dont want to face AZ either though, it really is a case of 2 evils. If I remember right, the Cubs have never won a series against AZ.

  17. His pitching is costing us games, really has nothing to do with his "antics".
  18. Pretty much sums up the Cubs day. Yea he was pretty lost just like Z
  19. I think Ive found one thing we can ALL agree on...That was a brutal rendition of Take Me Out to the Game.
  20. Its also amazing the lengths some people will go through to criticize Murton.
  21. Ok all these changes, and is Aram still in the game? I didnt hear them say Aram was out, and if hes not that is ignorant. Edit: DeRo is at 3rd nevermind
  22. Ok Lou time to get Aram some extra rest along with Soriano and Lee. Just take them out so they can get some extra rest.
  23. There is no denying hes the best option we have out there either.
  24. Nah they have Steve Trachsel now.......
