  1. Blanco has been bringing his hitting shoes recently
  2. Plenty of people called out DeRosa... Even me, uncharacteristically Ya but nothing about his baseball IQ etc... which happens about every start for Ronny.
  3. http://www.seatdata.com That what you are looking for?
  4. What happened? Soto threw out lee by a mile but derosa dropped it. leading to the run Blanco
  5. Had that been Cedeno dropping the ball at 2nd there would have been about 15 posts about how stupid of a baseball player Ronny is.
  6. Scott got screwed around this year after being lights out last year in the 2nd half, but like he said Lou never seemed to get over it. Seems odd Lou can get over Howry sucking and continue pitching him, but not Eyre.
  7. Damn I truly feel sorry for Scott Eyre. After his first half last year he was pretty lights out, and he never really got a fair shake this year from Lou.
  8. Let me ask you a question, when was the last time the Cards won a series vs somebody above .500? Heres a hint, its before the last Cubs Cards series. STL has beaten the teams like the Pirates, Padres, Royals, and Atlanta, but they cant compete in a 3 game series with teams above .500. That to me is the biggest reason for Cubs fans and others to believe that Stl will fade away. The bullpen in Stl is a complete joke, and having Carp in the rotation is only going to enhance the bullpen problem as its very unlikely he goes deep into games anytime soon.
  9. Yes, it is MISERABLE in Jackson, MS this time of year. I can't imagine that there is any other TC that has worse heat problems. 97 degrees and 60-70% humidity is NO fun. When I used to play Legion Ball around this time of year, we'd pour ice into our hats and wear them like that. Im guessing the Bears camp today is right up there with that, its hotter than hell in Illinois.
  10. SORI and Reed woooooooooooooo
  11. Except when every month besides 1 shows hes been bad, its pretty safe to say hes been terrible for the better part of season.
  12. Guess who else was lights out in May and June? Bob Howry. Ill give you May, but if you consider 10IP 12hits 5 runs 5 ER's ERA 4.5 Whip of 1.3 and a batting average against of .300 as lights out in June, Id have to say thats ridiculous. I was taking it as a whole. If we're doing monthly breakdowns, Wuertz's June is worse. WHIP over 2.00, 5 walks in 8.2 IP, BAA of .361 and OPS against of .929. Hey Im not arguing for Wuertz Im just disagreeiing with the comment about Howry being lights out in June. Hes had 1 good month so far out of this season and thats it.

  14. I cant believe there are Cub fans complaining about somebody showing off a little after hitting a HR when we have Soriano and Aram on this team.
  15. Built-in excuses for Lou? Yes, it's stupid to keep a reliever on the active roster but not use him, in part because it's easy to get rusty over those long breaks. Why would he be wrong for criticizing Lou about Eyre being rusty? he would be right, i'm just saying that Keener98 is going to complain either way. Either he doesn't put him in and Lou is dumb, or he puts him in and Lou is dumb You crack me up.
  16. I'm tired of propaganda. Under his last contract, the Bears and the us fans could be patient with Hester developing into a NFL WR. But given the new contract there is no patience. He must developed. Well, about a week in and from what I can tell, training camp has been a disappointment. The offensive line, a huge problem for well over a year, does not appear to be any better yet, and they are missing important parts - with no clear idea when those parts will return. I just hope this offense isn't as bad as it looks like it could be. Well maybe the Bears will do the exact opposite of how last years camp went. Remember how we kept hearing how the offense was taking it to the D, and it looked fluid etc. etc etc... I dont have my hopes up but just trying to show a little how the first few days/weeks of camp can be overhyped
  17. I understand hes trying to make do right now, but there is no reason at all for Eyre to be banished right now. Hes done nothing to justify it at all except the first time he is brought in and gives up a run, you'll be the first one jumping in to question the move. I'm not sure what you would do differently. When your pen is taxed and you have a guy who should have a fresh arm, he needs to be used plain and simple. sure, but when he gives up 3 runs then you'll say "see, Lou can't use a pen because Eyre is rusty." I'm just saying there are built-in excuses for every failed bullpen situation Thats ridiculous, and even still he had Cotts and Marshall who werent rusty to face Branyon.

  19. Because the only other guys in the pen that can go multiple innings are our primary setup men at the moment. Also, I think their plan is to piggyback Marshall on days Harden starts. OK. Somehow I missed that Lieb isn't around now. Yup and quite honestly, he could be pretty valuable right now. While he may not be lights out, he can go multiple innings, and he can be effective, and he could push Gaudin out of the RH longman role, and into the RH setup role.
