    I didn't want Ibanez at all. But if the Rays can convince Bradley to go there, the Phillies get Ibanez, the White Sox get Abreu, does that leave us Dunn? I know the Rays are the flavor of the month, but if given similar offers, I cant see Bradley chosing the Rays over the Cubs. You never know what the season will bring, but Im guessing that the Rays had their chance, and the Yanks and Sawx are going to resume their dominance over the division. Id be guessing you are pretty wrong. Tampas season wasnt a fluke.

    Thats exactly what Peter Gammons said, and the exact reason why Gammons says Peavy will be a Cub by spring training.

    Gammons was just on ESPN saying he doesnt believe the deal is dead, more like on life support. He says he believes Peavy will be a Cub by spring training mainly because Peavy really only wants to come to the Cubs. He said by holding onto him until deadline Peavy could make the Pads take less of a package by maintaining his stance of only wanting to go the Cubs. Its Gammons I know, but just trying to share some info.

    whatever, if you're a cub fan, a lineup of something like: soriano lee dunn ramirez soto derosa fukudome theriot should make you wet yourself in happiness. that is a high-obp, solid power lineup. I think in that scenerio, Id rather have Aram 3rd with Dunn 4th with Soto behind him. Lee and Aram would be on base quite a bit for Dunn, whereas with Dunn 3rd, hes going to come up quite often with just Lee on or nobody on.

    Disagree, its going to be a horrible slaughter for the Bears, starting next week when - mark my words - we fall to St. Louis. At this point Id have no problem with finishing 5-11 if it meant some changes would occur because of it. However Id be shocked if they actually made changes.
