  1. Part of me wants the TIgers to win this game, but part of me also wants the Sox to win today, and then let the Twins pound them tomorrow. Just a little more heartbreak that way
  2. Right now Im happy we won, but I still dont expect anything out of this season. So far they have won the 2 games I thought they'd lose and lost the 2 I thought theyd win. I have a feeling this team will just be in really close games all year, and will win some and lose some. Basically end up right around .500
  3. Zac Zaidman(sp?) the Bears sideline reporter for 680 and contibutor to WSCR was on this morning and had this to say. When he asked Kyle Orton what Philly did different in the 2nd half to slow him down, his response was " I honestly dont know, I just dont know". Thats not a good thing that our starting QB has no idea what adjustments were made against him. Well, but that's why he's still an inexperienced QB, and why he looked bad. The fact is, the Eagles are one of the best, if not the best, pressure defenses in the league. They're going to come at you from a number of different angles, switch things up, confuse you. Kyle obviously got pretty confused in the 2nd half -- along with the rest of the blocking. Big Ben was pretty confused the week before too. RIght I understand him being confused, but dont you think the coaches or somebody would have pointed out to him during that 2nd half what they were doing differently? Just seemed like a really odd statement to make.

  5. :-k Am I missing something funny? Or the reason to bump something on the front page?
  6. They are practically the same player. I mean Ludwick was a high school kid drafted in the 2nd round and made it to the majors by age 23. Huffpauir was a college guy drafted in the 13th round and made his major league debut at age 28. Even so, Ludwick isn't going to repeat these flukish numbers ever again. But, then again neither will Huffpauir. So, maybe they are alike. Wasnt Ludwick once considered a top prospect though? I dont think the same can be said for Hoff.
  7. Well what a fitting way for Lee's regular season to end lol
  8. Just because he's on the roster doesn't mean he'll get into a game. Well he got in today. Everyone and their grandmother got in today, though. Hes got in all year Oh God how Id love to see Lee get on, and Aram hit a bomb EDIT: NVM I forgot Aram was out
  9. Just because he's on the roster doesn't mean he'll get into a game. Well then that says alot about Lou. He has no business being on the roster and if Lou puts him on it just because hes a veteran hes an idiot.
  10. Bob Howry hahahahahahaahhahaha Like there was a single person here who didnt expect that from Howry
  11. I'd still rather see him come in for a big situation than Howry. Wuertz might not throw strikes, but Howry gives up hard hit balls. Im not arguing with you, Howry has no business on the roster, but we all know Lou cares more about relievers walking people than he does about them getting hit hard. I wonder if Guzman may have pitched himself on the roster today. 5k's in 2 innings is pretty damn impressive, although Im not sure how he'd get on with Lou already saying Samardja and Howry were on it. Howry's definitely on the playoff roster? From Lous comments yes I think its a given.

  13. That last inning is the exact reason why Lou wont put Wuertz on the playoff roster plain and simple.
  14. Yea cheap shotting with helmets has a tendency to knock people out of the game for a play or 2.
  15. We're going to have to play much better to even come in with a 7-12 finish. I know you're positively giddy right now, but why are our last 19 games going to be played at the level of our last 8? If that's the way things worked, wouldn't we have dominated these last 8 games considering we were hot heading into those? We're 8-8 our last 16, why aren't we going to keep up that pace? Better yet, we're 86-57 over our last 143 games, why not play at that pace? Dont you love how certain Cub "fans" only show up when things are going badly. JeffH was nowhere around this board, posting all his nonsense for the past 3 months, but let the Cubs lose 6 games in a row.....Hes right back here firing away...
  16. And Vasher gets toasted again jeesh
  17. benson had a nice run against the seahawks last year. Yea I just couldnt remember if it was more than 50 though
  18. Haha way to help the Colts some more refs. Jesus
  19. Ok so is that the longest run by a Bears running back since Thomas Jones?
  20. Rookie of the year here he comes right?right?Wow nice run
  21. Come on the league already lost poster boy Tom Brady today, they have to make sure Manning is ok all year.
