His three year splits as shown here, don't look too bad for the first inning. My guess is based on health concerns etc, Wood would be used two innings at a time every three to four days.

I don't think there's any doubt that Cedeno goes down when Nomar returns.

I would have been, but I fly out of St. Louis at 7:30 AM, so I need to avoid the hang over. And let me just say, the game was awesome. A full roller coaster of emotions. I assumed it was over when Prior gave up three homers in the first. It wasn't a pleasant place to be, that's for sure. But he settled down and the Cubs clawed back in it. When Ramirez hit the Aramabomb, I was going insane. Then Dempster blew it with two outs in the ninth. Ugh. I was nervous and the Cardinal fans were going wild. When Barrett struck out, I assumed the game was over. I really didn't expect Neifi to do that... But the shock was greater, because from our seats, we really couldn't see the rightfield corner...so when he hit the ball, I was watching the firstbase ump....he first motioned fair...so I was like double in corner to take the lead...and then when he raised his hand and motioned homerun, I was dancing in the aisles. One word to describe that win [Chris Farley voice]Awesome.[/Chris Farley voice.]

It was a very fun game to attend, except for the heat. I was nervous at the end...but that last out was amazing!

Vance, are you going to be there tonight? I would absolutely love to meet Addison after seeing her pictures here. I'll be there, but Addison will be staying with her grandma tonight. She didn't take the heat well yesterday...and we're flying back to Louisiana at 7:30 Monday morning, so she needs to be well rested.

I'm getting the feeling that if any deal is made, it won't be a big one. It looks like we better hope a healthy Nomar and Williamson will be the difference makers.

I stayed in the seats, but the rest of the family didn't. All but my wife left in the fifth. Addison only lasted 1.5 innings in the seats.

Neifi's approach to hitting is swing really hard and hope for the best. Addendum #1 to Neifi's approach: Peek at catcher to determine location whenever possible.

We've had a 20 percent increase in payroll the past two years, I really don't see this as being a payroll issue. -

Side question: Is there a NSBB contigent that is planning on meeting there? I will be there with my wife, so let me know guys. Cubbie from TX in AR Vance and I will be stalking Ryno all weekend long. Where are you staying? I will be in Albany, but all day Saturday and Sunday at the HOF. I'm staying in Schenectady. On Friday, I'm driving to Boston to see the Red Sox, and will be in Cooperstown on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
