    Is this about Sweet Lou or Leo the Lip. Last time we used the 3 man rotation was in 69 and we saw how that turned out, but then again it was used all year in 1969

    i do question his philosophy of resting though, he seems to pull out the strangest guys when we have the lead (not often) but never guys with history of injuries like Lee and ARam.

    WRONG okay so he's 19th out of 29 in VORP among SS with at least 300 PAs. He's also worse than about 60-65% of major league SS in EqA and RC/G, and his EqA is pretty much tied with Jack Wilson. So why exactly are you so convinced that he should be the shortstop for years to come? because he has a cool name, and a smart wife.

    A perfect start is so judgemental, what would be considered a perfect start at Coors field on a windy day or just Coors field period. I can see how the data could be used in Domes and parks known for their consistant conditions though Probably a change in subjects, sorry. I just wish a good start would lead to a complete game so Marmol, Howery and Dempster could have some rest before the next full week of games. Didn't Lou want to use Wood when the game was a bit out of reach? I'd say last night was a perfect opportunity.

    Good times. Yea when he pointed at his head alot of people in the gamethread took it as "I know I sucked, my bad" but thats not what he meant at all. He said he doesnt deserve to be bood, and thought the Cubs had the best fans in baseball, but now he sees they only think of themselves. wow Just shut up and pitch Z, how bout you do that. Hate to call you out on this but in the Trachsel thread didn't you say he was just inconsistent? Jason Marquis is inconsistent something is wrong when you sign a 90 million contract and can't win in over a month. wether it is a physical problem or mental a good benching is what he needs.

    No he doesnt OK, then tell me what is his problem he looks terrible. A rest may give hiom some mental relief as well as physical. He has the highest pitch count on the team.

    everyone is talking about a marshal rest, I understand and hope that he is used as a spot starter for everyone so they can all have an extra day of rest but it is Zambrano that definetly needs a rest.

    He is pitching like Marquis a shot of brilliance for three inning, in which the press look at and clap, and 4 inning of mediocre pitching and one lousy inning before being pulled. somehow the "glass half full people" point to the three good innings
