    I was at the game last night and missed Vance :( I will say this it was so freaking hot I understood why Marshall was pulled, not becuse of the lack of good pitches but it was and humid exhausting heat, I can see why jason, if he sweats a lot could have trouble. It was so oppressive that I didn't move for 20 min. after my run this morn. I can see why some of these guys look the way they do.

    Lee will likely appeal, and Ward will be back to play 1B on Tuesday. Murton is not eligible to come back up until a week from tomorrow I believe. Thank You forgot about all about Ward.

    question: If ARam doesn't make it back and Lee is out for let's say 4 games who will the cubs bring up? Murton for offense but not for first base, so is there another Iowa boy who is a decent hitter at first? (assumption that Derosa stays at third)

    both do decent research both are not mambe pamby about their beliefs. OleMiss is probably closer politically. Sulley though sound like he could be on of my Alternative students who has gotten in trouble once too often. so I used extreme logic in the decision and picked sulley because I was born and bread a Yankee who just happens to live in the south. sorry Ole- Miss

    For general information for those who didn't watch the game on CSN (not directed at you, you seem to know where this is from), they did some internet poll with the question, "Should Soriano and Pie bat 1st and 2nd from now on?" 94% said yes. thank You for clarifying it for 94 percent of us who now live outside chicago

    Optimism is not firing guys, I wish the best of luck and the guys on the field prove him right. optimism is that we are not 13 games back but only 7.5 with a series in Mil. we can be in this race that consists of mediocre central division, which won the world series last year.

    a pass ball by Barret and a throwing error lead to Z being really mad, Barret showed him that he had given up 13 hits and that is when the punches flew
