  1. WP, Riot to third with one out. I've seen this one before, so hopefully DLee changes the ending.
  2. They're not saying boo, they're saying PUUUUUjols.
  3. Over. I say there are at least 5 HR a piece today.
  4. Too low and too slow. That's the part I'm not getting past.
  5. Pat: Ron is "under the weather" with an irregular heartbeat.
  6. im still waiting for him to just get his first HR. I'm fine with DLee not hitting his HRs, as long as he can keep his BA where it's at. I want the black holes in the lineup to not be black holes, and I want the bottom of the pitching rotation to not suck.
  7. Because when we're talking about the game, we're gonna need to know that Pie is in the lineup. /got nothin
  8. I was thinking about that, but then I realized that the last time Miller pitched the Cubs managed to keep the game tied for 14 innings-so I'm still ready to see what the team can do. Besides, Wainwright has been living dangerously as well-his ERA is good, but a WHIP over 1.5 means that the Cubs still have a chance of getting some runs off of him. While your optimism is convincing and well-founded, I think that his WHIP of more than 1.5 means that 6 innings against the Cubs will be just what he needed to make that number a little closer to respectable. The Cubs offense: where pitching slumps come to die.
  9. I was cussing the whole team all week, so I'm sure I joined you guys at some point.
  10. I'm gonna give lou the benefit of the doubt and say it's because he understands that it's his best chance to stay out of a double play, and that he's better off with Lilly at the plate.
  11. They won the series up in Milwaukee, what more do you want?! I'm sure they'll win another one sometime in May.
  12. UPDATE: It looks right now as if Felix will miss only 10-20 days with an elbow strain. This is good news at first glance. Hopefully it doesn't get extended to 30 or 45 days, followed by a career of chronic reaggravation.
  13. I like the new update on the combo. All those threads are good to keep going, but they can all get buried pretty easily. Now I don't have to dig four pages for the LOST thread every Wednesday. Thanks Banedon!
  14. Who? just threw a no-hitter, so the answer is obvious.
  15. His numbers looked a lot like Z's do now. Which just means we have nothing to worry about with Z, right?? Just like Hill, once Z has a little time in the league and gets settled into the rotation, his numbers will come around. ::chirp chirp:: Hey, I tried.
  16. I want to have Rich Hill's babies.
  17. Considering it was Redman and that Barrett's HR broke up a streak of some pretty craptacular offense, I venture to say that this is the first time that either pitching has bailed out crappy offense or vice versa.
  18. CUBS WIN!!! CUBS WIN!!! CUBS WIN!!! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ I love you, Rich Hill.
  19. Life is funnier and more enjoyable when Rich Hill pitches and the Cubs lead.
  20. I think he has 7 walks... 3 this game and 4 last game. Still, he's awesome. My bad, I had him for one walk this game. Haven't been paying close attn  Update the BB count to 7, making his WHIP an abysmal and unacceptable 0.68
  21. I think most Cubs fans will have a BAC higher than Hill's ERA at some point this season.
  22. Rich Hill's updated stats through three starts. 3G, 22IP, 8H, 1ER, 1 HR, 5BB, 0.59WHIP, 0.40 ERA Those are some sexy numbers.
