Pat just said Cards went into their bullpen in the 4th yesterday. With Reyes going so deep in so many counts and our guys taking walks, the Cards could run out of bullpen help pretty early in the series. P.S. Thanks to Pie for popping out while I talk about the Cubs being patient.

I'm way more pumped about Sammy's 600th than any HR-related record that has come up since '98. I hope he makes it past 630 this year and has enough in the tank to push 675 next year.

but it still comes in behind "playing with Hank Aaron." Who played with Hank Aaron? I bet that was cool. Dusty did. No way. Way. Aaron was still playing with the Braves during Dusty's early years as a player.That must have been something. I wonder who was on deck when Aaron broke the Babe's record. Whoever it was, I bet he never forgot it.

This makes me sad. (Yes, still harboring much hate and anger.) I don't mind watching Yankees games, because they're pretty much always entertaining baseball. I can root for the BoSox, Orioles, A's, and now in agreement with Roast, the Texas Sammys. I can only do this if the Cubs haven't discouraged me from baseball altogether though. After last May, I spent the rest of the season forgetting baseball completely.
