  1. I'm tellin ya dude, you need to let him go to at least 135 pitches. Once it gets hot out there, he won't be much good to us anymore...
  2. Ron almost had a coronary watching that play
  3. Four fractured vertebrae. He might never walk again. That's not so bad. I thought you were going to say that they'll spend three years expecting him to come off the DL any time now.
  4. What happened? I'm watching on Gameday. I'm curious where gameday shows the location for ball 3.
  5. Trust me, abuck reminds those people of their stupidity every chance he gets. pfft. yea. THOSE people. Losers.
  6. Bullpen needs the rest, team needs the pitching. I like it.
  7. Wuertz's slider has been giving it a run for its money through the early going. Soriano's bat. Or his hamstring.
  8. Update: Sammy hit #592 off Javier Vazquez
  9. <----------- Man crush on Rich Hill.
  10. I'd much rather see Theriot at short and see another lefty (even Jones) in the lineup playing RF than to see Cedeno wasting a spot in the order.
  11. You've got a pretty good record going. Keep the declarations coming.
  12. Sweet. Murt needs to do much more of that. Good to see.
  13. I was hoping that by the time he hit the 40-pitch mark the Cubs would have scored a couple runs. If they get to the bullpen and the Cubs haven't scored at least 3 or 4, then they failed again.
  14. WAY off. They split it up over a few pitches. This is the '07 Cubs, they find new and exciting ways to achieve the same spectacular results of '06.
  15. No score, top of the first. I'm not admitting it's over just yet  I'll probably be there with you in an inning or two The Riot speed demon!
  16. The cleanup position is the 2 spot again.
  17. I've got a boatload of studying to do, so I'm going to try and stay away from the threads and just listen to the game. Seems to be working so far.
  18. My grandma isn't busy this afternoon, I'm sure she'd be able to swing by and play short for a few innings too. Also, why is he hitting in FRONT of Pie??? Pie had a 649 OPS against LHP in the minor leagues last year. There at least probably isn't that much difference right now between Cedeno and Pie when batting against LHP. As far as Cedeno at all, they seem to think that when a LHP takes the mound is a good day to rest Izturis. As for Blanco, 20 AB's against a pitcher is simply not enough to rest Barrett when Blanco just started on Tuesday. If he's going by matchups, then that makes KTG06's question of why not Blanco an even better question.

  20. Maybe by Friday I've read but who knows. I have absolutely no reason to say this other than I've been a Cubs fan my whole life, but I'd be shocked if he was back that soon. Per Rotoworld from Sun-Times: Alfonso Soriano (hamstring) took batting practice prior to Tuesday's game and said he might return to the lineup on Friday. Soriano, who also jogged in the outfield on Tuesday, says his hamstring feels like it did in 2005 when he missed less than a week. Sweet. I look forward to being shocked.

  22. Deep. Or "PEED," whichever you prefer :D
