  1. Isn't Jock due up? There's gotta be at least one K in there somewhere.
  2. Cesar in the butt he was taking his time That INF hit was key Or was it the ball 3 call on the 2-2 pitch to the batter before? The whole infield was headed toward the dugout when the ump called it a ball.
  3. I wonder if this powerhouse Cubs offense has another comeback left in the tank. sorry, couldn't say it with a straight face.
  4. A no-hitter you say? So wait, Buehrle hasn't given up a hit yet?
  5. Ditto! Didn't Demp pitch 2 innings yesterday - do they bring him out in the 9th if we still have the lead? I expect they'll try to get by on Eyre and Ohman if possible. I hear Ohman is good at coming in and shutting them down, so he'd be good for the 9th.
  6. Yea, it wasn't pretty. He was working out of jams pretty much the entire game, except for the first inning when he game up a 3-run homer to Francouer rather than work out of it.
  7. most likely 7th. Lou values the 2nd spot alot, and im not convinced nor am I that Pie won't struggle to get on base, which would hurt the team alot. However the flipside is at the 7th spot, he won't see many good pitches, which might hurt his development. I agree with both of you
  8. Z still the pitcher of record. In other news, Ted Lilly still feels jipped.
  9. The way Z has been having control issues, I'm surprised he didn't hit the strike zone trying to IBB Chipper.
  10. I bet otis's monitor that you're right.
  11. Yes, but that also means that they've also already seen their last baserunner for the game :(
  12. Consecutive doubles from DLee and Ramirez, Floyd singles Ram to third, Barrett sac flies him home.
  13. I predict KoJock homers to take the lead. (putting down the crack pipe now.)
  14. Barrettgasm for the lead??? :D Of course, by Barrettgasm I mean "ground ball" and by lead I mean "inning-ending double play."
  15. Ron sounded pissed that Ramirez didn't score.
  16. If he has a couple more innings like the last one, he has an outside chance of lasting 6.
  17. Replay shows he didn't foul it off. LOL, trying to sell it... The Braves radio announcers though that replay showed it did hit his foot. Pat and Ron also say this.
  18. Most of them are 20-30. Eyre threw 2 pitches. Not sure how many Ohman threw. Looks like Eyre will likely get to throw 30+ pitches tonight.
  19. Another solid shutout inning for Z
  20. Yesterday's relievers IP: Cotts 1.2 Wuertz 2.0 Eyre 0.1 Howry 2.0 Dempster 2.0 Ohman 1.0 Anyone got the corresponding pitch counts? The chances of Z getting far enough into this game to only need Ohman and Eyre to finish it off are looking about zero.
  21. So you don't believe in momentum at all. I doubt they'll score here. I'm just wondering. I think momentum only exists when runs follow a play like that on ESPN and the announcers decide it exists in order to fill the air waves with more worthless drivel. Or maybe it just exists with other teams. Definitely not on the northside. Pie triples as I type. Maybe I need to spend more time ripping on the offense. (Of course, if that helped the offense, the Cubs would have scored 150 runs already this season.)
