I don't at all agree with the mentality of trying not to score the touchdown. If the snapper or holder or kicker has a few jitters, the game ends in an instant (Romo, Cundiff). 80 yards and 56 seconds is a much better margin of error.

I'm going through some Air Force reading material, and came across a couple paragraphs about former Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Gary Pfingston. In several AF biographies, though not on his wikipedia page, there is a one-line reference that he played minor league baseball before enlisting. I couldn't find anything in baseball reference, and based on the timeline in his wikipedia page, the 1961 season is the only possible time he could have played. If he didn't make enough of a dent to appear on BR (they admit that brief stints with limited appearances could keep a player off their list), is there anywhere else I can look to find out who he played for?

I think we lost several pages worth of un-winnable arguments by letting the humility talk drown out this post. So who are the goons on the Patriots? Ocho Cinco? It's clear by now that the Patriots only signed him to coax Welker onto Twitter. Level of humility has no bearing on Goon Quotient, so Brady's clear. Any beef with Belicheat is countered by Coughlin's drunken whiny dwarf face. Your point would have been more valid if it especially applied to long-time Pats fans.

Tampa was getting hyped as a potential London favorite due in part to their owners' ties to EPL. But now the Rams are going three years in a row over there. There's already been whispers of them moving back to LA, and we've heard talk of a potential London based team on the horizon. Agreeing to this situation seems increase the chances of that franchise being on the move. Three years of watching Rams football could end that possibility.

I liked living in the Baltimore area, and I like their fanbase, but the Ravens are a pretty brutal team to watch. I'm rooting for either NFC team to beat the Patriots in the Superbowl. In overtime.
