  1. This year's World Series = http://www.realcavsfans.com/uploads/images/37urshgv7isd6og9xpc.gif
  2. Seriously. And the posts criticizing those posts. Like this one. Because those posts are stupid.
  3. atheist. Can we have a religious flamewar instead?? popcorn.gif
  4. That'd be a stroke of genius. Someone get on it. =D> Lock the thread, we're done here. Open it back up when the press conference happens.
  5. He seems to be the best bet to carry his team's load. At least the KC offense (Dwayne Bowe) has done enough through the air that teams have to at least pretend to respect the pass.
  6. Need one for flex spot in PPR league: Jackie Battle (@Oak) DeMarco Murray (v StL) Sidney Rice (@Cle)
  7. I'd say yes. Rivers hasn't done much to inspire confidence so far (I'm sitting him for Cutler this week), and Brees clearly enjoys having Colston back.
  8. I do too. Considering the matchup and the QB situation, I also like Torain. If I can land both of them off the wire, I'll keep Thomas in the flex and start them both.
  9. Gore and McCoy did great for me this week, but they both have byes. I have Daniel Thomas in the flex spot due to Mike Williams's (TB) inability to do anything. Rank the following available RBs for priority of acquisition: Marshawn Lynch Earnest Graham Ryan Torain Jackie Battle Would I be better off keeping Thomas in flex and playing two of the above, or should I start Williams and only play one?
  10. The rule book only returns those to the 40. Or is it the 35 now? Either way, I like Hester catching those.
  11. Yes. I was driving from Big Sur (45 minutes south of Monterey, CA) to San Diego yesterday and caught up on about 40 pages of it while riding as passenger. The last 15 pages have been borderline unbearable in places. I couldn't hold back making some smart ass comment any longer. You spent hours reading 40 pages of NSBB while one of the most beautiful stretches of highway the world has to offer passed by right out the window. Wow.
  12. I like Ingram and Carter too. Bukie, I'm between sitting Hillis and Nelson. Why the Gaffney hate?
  13. Nevermind, Battle is on a bye week. I rock at this fantasy football stuff. Anyway, I'm leaning toward Gaffney. He has put up relatively consistent numbers all year, and Jones seems hard to predict on a week-to-week basis, especially since Rodgers throws to every player on his team.
  14. I have the same question, but I'm also considering Jackie Battle as well. My league is PPR, so Gaffney isn't the same gamble that he is in your league. Do you know why James Jones was such a non-factor those first three weeks?
  15. We lost 91 games last year. Adding Fielder and 1 pitcher is not going to result in a 18-20 game swing, particularly when you account for the fact that Ramirez is likely gone, Soriano will continue to decline, etc. Do you realize how many games were started by absolute garbage starting pitchers for us this year? Due to injuries to... Wells and Cashner. Meaning that "Cashner/someone else" was a huge liability this year. If New Guy is the only addition to the rotation, then Cashner/someone else likely remains to be a black hole in the rotation, and between health and productivity, Wells is enough of a gamble that it would be wise to have a better backup plan for him than we had this year. I really hope that New Guy isn't the only answer this team seeks for the rotation this year.
  16. I assumed it was. I checked cubs.com to see the press conference photos of Ricketts and Epstein. Very disappointing.
  17. He had two feet down and ball movement, and he was down by contact. That wasn't failure to maintain the catch, that was a catch and the ground forcing a fumble. More awful officiating.
  18. It was unsportsmanlike conduct, and I have no clue what happened.
  19. Rumor has it, one of his comments during a broadcast last month was NOT unbelievably dumb. I don't believe it, but the rumor is out there.
  20. Watching these numbers from Mike Williams (TB) is getting old in a hurry. This SF matchup is supposed to be about as good as it's going to get for him. EDIT - He finally would have gotten his first point of the game, but he lost a fumble on the catch. Time to drop him for Delone Carter.
  21. Laugh all you want. Purple t-shirt guy and his deductive google-fu skills have given me hope. "No, I get that a lot. Who is Theo Epstein?" Slam dunk evidence. An inside source familiar with the dealings of purple t-shirt guy, but who wishes to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the situation, has told me that Pujols (or his doppelganger) was later spotted in the back seat of the same Honda SUV. This actually makes plenty of sense, considering that Chicago is on the way from St Louis to Milwaukee, where Pujols is due to be the next day for the start of the NLCS. Sullivan tweeted this morning that he was looking into the Pujols angle, but needed additional details in order to verify the story's credibility. Google searches of what his wife look like have yielded mixed results, and people at the scene seem to be in disagreement over the color of this second eyewitness's t-shirt. As soon as I hear anything more, I'll probably just post it here rather than pulling up Paul Sullivan on AIM.
  22. Flex spot (no PPR): Mike Williams (TB) (@ SF) Tomlinson (@ NE) Williams has broken 50 yards on consecutive games but hasn't seen the end zone since week 1. The matchup is as friendly to the possibility of a breakout game as I can hope for with him anymore. Tomlinson has shown to be serviceable this year, and NE has shown to be vulnerable to pass-catching backs. With NE's firepower, the Jets should be in passing mode most of the game, which should give Tomlinson good time compared to Greene.
  23. I'd try to offer an opinion, but I'm too bitter about Williams's lack of production to be unbiased. He's been pretty frustrating so far.
  24. While I'm not at all happy about being forced into the situation, I too will root for the Brewers a thousand times before ever wishing anything good on the Cardinals.
