  1. Alou was a tough strikeout, too. I wouldn't exactly say it was a result of his patience, though. Alou is a completely different hitter than Juan, however...point taken.
  2. I would add to the PRO's... Very tough to strike out!
  3. Maybe Jack is looking for some extra money to fix his horrible teeth problem!
  4. I was and still am a huge Estrada fan, great catcher...good hitter, atleast in 04 he was :)
  5. My understanding is NO! ... Not sure if he will resurface, I just don't think it will happen.
  6. The Score mentioned earlier a Patterson for Bradley straight up. I'll take it! Anyone else think they will play Hairston Jr. to CF, Bradley at RF and call it an offseason? No, Phil Rogers was on Comcast earlier saying that the Cubs and DRays have had discussions all day along about a multiple player deal with Huff and Lugo. I dont think Hendry sees Hairston as a starting CF, but more of a fallback or backup 2nd base option. If Phil Rodgers says it...I don't believe it :) I hope they don't call it an offseason! And Murton/Huff in the corners is a defensive disaster.

  8. LOL, we posted at the same time. Great minds think alike. :D Nice call!
  9. Update from Rotoworld.com A source told MLB.com that Cubs have emerged as Milton Bradley's top suitor and the A's are no longer discussing a deal with the Dodgers. That's too bad for the A's, as the rumored Kirk Saarloos deal could have really helped them. Dec. 6 - 9:12 pm et
  10. Here's hoping Milton wasn't listening to AM720. Wow, those clowns all but smacked his grandma in the face. They are horribly down on him.
  11. huh? nomar still has an arm. not the most accurate arm, but he wouldn't have a problem getting it far enough As big of fan of Nomar I am, he is NO outfielder. He always throws off balance and usually side arm. Not what you want in an outfielder trying to nail down the winning run at home plate.
  12. Oh sweet mercy....he could never play CF. He would 8 hope the 2nd base bag. WOW!
  13. IIRC, he was hated in B-Town! ... and he hated them back!
  14. Our entire Farm system and the head of a fatted pig will get this deal done!
  15. So they will get D-Train number 2 and we are stuck with a 1 year rental of Pierre as we wait for Pie to become our CF? Nope, hold firm JH!
  16. But, but...he was at the airport...I saw him. Really I did!
  17. I respectfully disagree my friend. While not being the sub 2.00 era and 20+ win seasons, Maddux typically always gives you enough to win a game. He is an amazing pitcher ... just takes him about 7, 8 starts to warm up. I do recall a <95 pitch performance against the Brewers last September that was an absolute masterpiece to watch! I'll take him as our 5th starter anyday of the week, and twice on Sunday's!
  18. Per rotoworld. As much as I have enjoyed watching The Rocket pitch in my life, I am anxious for him to hang it up. Nice career Roger!
