  1. I think at one point today he may have had Roth, Moore, Rivers, Capobianco and Elston. From the stands I can give the scouting report. Capobianco is only going to get garbage points, Moore isn't going to shoot (he then passed immediately when open), Roth can't do anything but shoot open 3's (Gatens stayed tight to him) and Rivers can't shoot (played off him and he eventually drove).
  2. Wow Indiana's defense is really awful. Fun game though.
  3. Can someone explain why Pierre McGuire is so hated?
  4. Please win today Iowa. I just want to see a win. Attendance will probably be worse than it would have been because it starts at the same time as Bears/Packers. Perfect for me though, now I can completely avoid that disgrace.
  5. I think Pierson is a big academic question mark, isn't he? I thought I read that both Iowa and Mizzou stopped recruiting him because they didn't think he would qualify. Something happened with Miller too where Iowa just stopped recruiting him after his visit and I think Wisconsin backed off also.
  6. Purdue's fans in Mackey have to be among the most annoying in the country. Every single foul (or no call on the offensive end) is met with the same resounding complaints.
  7. It is more difficult when someone is holding your arms. I didn't see his arms being held, especially on that reverse angle.
  8. Jereme Richmond plays for your squad. You lose the right to complain about how other teams react after calls.
  9. Uhmm... Iowa? No? Depends. Illinois and Ohio State wouldn't have won at Iowa if they hadn't shot well and played pretty well overall. If Iowa plays like they did at home against Northwestern then any of the top half teams could have won without playing well.
  10. Was Acie's intelligence a fair representation of his family?
  11. The two games following that were two of the most amazing games of my lifetime. The crazy comeback at MSU when Acie had 40 shaved in the back of his head and then of course the first home game following his death, the home win over the Fab Five on Super Bowl Sunday on national tv. The entire Michigan game is on youtube broken into 11 parts. Here's the last one that shows the end of the game, the team taking the game ball to his dad and swarming him and a piece CBS did:
  12. Anyone else see Cal losing his mind on Jones? He apologized on Twitter for his language. Yeah, I'm sure we all believe that was the first time it's ever happened, and will never happen again. I don't care about the language. I just thought he was going to strangle him when he was going after him.
  13. Anyone else see Cal losing his mind on Jones?
  14. It's a great hire for Michigan but odd for Mattison isn't it? Unless he really wants to become a college head coach.
  15. Oklahoma State is pretty inoffensive now that Sutton's gone. The youtube video displaying their absurd facilities is enough.
  16. I think that was the first game all year where I felt like we got really homered in a meaningful way that may have changed the outcome. They shot 37 free throws to our 11 despite the fact that we attacked the hoop and got it inside just as much as they did. But no, all 12 of their blocks were legit, including the ones where we got knocked to the floor. Right. It would be nice to have officials work a game where they had no pre-conceived notions about individual players and just called it objectively. Mbakwe should have been called for about 10 fouls but we get whistled for touch [expletive]. He fouls on nearly every rebound but he has a rep of being a good rebounder so it never gets called. It's just like the [expletive] with Sullinger. Anyways that was a good effort. When Mel gets consistent he's gonna be a stud. 20 and 13 tonight on 12 shots. It's like he just gets hyped up for these games against really good big men and outplays them but then can't get it going against others. We only had 4 guys score which is incredible. Matt picked a bad night to have a poor shooting game. He had more open looks tonight than he's had all year but he couldn't hit. And when will he learn how to drive without getting blocked?
  17. It doesn't help that the field just looks bad in HD.
  18. This is all sorts of confusing. Fixed it. Also interesting is that St. Mary's is the #1 shooting team in the country and they're 7th in lowest turnover percentage. As a team they're shooting 42% from 3 (7th) and 57% from 2 (3rd).
  19. They played Enter Sandman on the speakers while he was out cold on the field. Nice move audio guy.
  20. How about this Charles Jenkins from Hofstra? He's averaging 23.5, 4.6 assists (to 2 turns) and 3.6 boards. But the guy is shooting 51% from 3, 62% from 2 and 85% from the FT line while also having an assist rate over 31 and turnover rate of 13. Top offensive rating in the country among guys using 24%+ of their possessions.
  21. He's already there, along with Rivers. NFC North fans just have to hope that these concussions become a chronic issue. Otherwise, we're hosed for the next 6-7 years. At which point another eventual Pro Bowl QB will fall to them who will then start every game for the following 15 years without injury. I think we've also seen that the media was a little too quick to jump on the Matty Ice and Flacco parade.
  22. [expletive] you. Football season is over. Actually I'm riding this Pete Carroll train as long as it will take me. Then football season will be over.
  23. What the hell was going on in that Illinois/Wisconsin game? Illinois shoots 36 FT's compared to 37 2's and Wisconsin shoots 41 FT's compared to 26 2's. McCamey shoots 21 and Taylor shoots 18? Meanwhile Illinois shoots 30% from the field and Wisconsin shoots 39%. That had to have been a painful game to watch.
  24. Exactly. He had 3 timeouts and it was clear that possession was going to end with a prayer.
  25. And that's why you're Northwestern. Awesome basketball today.
