  1. Have to figure GB vs. Arizona and HOU/NYJ vs. Cincinnati will be the Saturday games.
  2. Vikings end the year 12-4 and Favre will be 2nd in the league in QB rating. 68% completions on 4,202 yards, 33 TD's to 7 INT's. If only he wouldn't have fallen apart down the stretch so badly... I like their chances against DAL/ARI/GB at home. Then need to hope the Saints get knocked off.
  3. Just because he has big games against you? He might be the most likable non-favorite team player in the league.
  4. Tom Coughlin is going to kill someone when they get back to NY. He has the quiet rage building right now. 4:41 left in the 3rd and the Giants still don't have 100 yards. The Vikings have 408.
  5. Again with the disclaimer of the competition... Vikings offense in 2nd half at the Bears and 1st half vs. Giants: 61 points 684 yards 41 first downs
  6. He's like 75% completion rate for 600 yards and 5 TD's and 0 INT's in the last 4 quarters. Granted it's against the Bears and a Giants team that's thrown in the towel but still not the numbers of a guy wearing down in December/January. Vikings have scored 61 points in the last 4 quarters.
  7. Damn the speed of Miami, Oregon and LSU. If Iowa beats Georgia Tech the Big Ten will have the most impressive showing in bowls among BCS conferences. Although the SEC still has so many games left to play they could take it also.
  8. If only the Wizards were still named the Bullets...
  9. I know a couple people who were down at the Paradise Jam this year and said that UT team was just out of control.
  10. Unreal. Update that after today.
  11. That was sweet. That's the only time autotune should be used.
  12. Tisdale went for 32? Was Northwestern playing man most of the game? I just saw the last two minutes and now OT. Davis was eating them up in man when Tisdale wasn't. Kendall Gill after Nash fouled Richardson shooting a 3: "If I'm Jeremy Nash I do not fould Richardson in this situation." As if it was by intent or there are any situations where you would want to foul a 3 point shooter.
  13. I watched the Ball State/Purdue Wooden Tradition and could barely stand it - Purdue was absolutely creaming our guys every time we tried to do anything, and touch fouls were getting called at the other end. It's pretty easy to be 'aggressive' defensively when your strategy is the 'they can't call fouls every time down the floor' technique. :cray: It is a contact sport and I have little interest in the NBA other than the Rockets because of how [expletive] it is. The ACC is close to the NBA. The Big Ten's physicality and policy of allowing contact is what I love most about it. It's against the [expletive] rules. That's why it's called in the NBA and why it's called correctly in other conferences. You aren't allowed to ride a player all night and re-direct him with your hand. That's not basketball and it's a big part of the reason why everyone complains that Big Ten basketball is bad/boring.
  14. Mid-round pick due to speed I guess. I was reading about Rob Akey earlier this year and how amazing the turnaround at Idaho was. Then I see him play soft coverage and let Barnes catch hitch routes against 1-1 coverage almost all night. He followed that up by having a terrible clock management decision there at the end. Going for 2 was a ballsy move and the right decision. Their defense was getting pressure but they weren't going to be able to stop Bowling Green in overtime. What a game.
  15. No different than when Ayanbadejo made it. He had a rep as one of the best special teams players in the league two years ago. Missed last year with an ACL and our special teams were awful. Patriots and others tried to sign him to fairly large contract for a special teamer/backup LB. Vikings kept him and he's been a stud that helped the Vikings rank #1 in Special Teams last week. The "only made it because he's a Viking" thing doesn't even make sense. It's not like you're talking about the Red Sox/Yankees or Lakers.
  16. Had courtside seats tonight. Iowa played well for most of the night but really wore down in the second half. Purdue didn't play well in the first half but it didn't seem like it was because they were disinterested. Just didn't hit some shots and weren't sharp. Purdue may be the most annoying team in the league, nay the country. Or at least they are when you have Ted "The Hammer" Valentine bending you over. Seriously they should be called for 2 fouls every possession. MSU is super physical also but nothing like PU. Then when they do finally get called for it, they whine more than anyone. It's just not basketball. I love watching Moore, Johnson and Hummel play and they carry themselves well. Kramer is a douche, Barlow was a total punk jawing all night when he didn't do ish and Keaton Grant has always bugged me.
  17. Eh, I've yet to find a decent Vikings board. Bears fans on here are pretty good and it helps with the venting. Plus I hear B&B every afternoon and see a good portion of Bears games so I have some idea what's going on there.
  18. Honest question, how do you guys really feel about that win if it helps save Lovie's job? I've heard a lot of speculation that if Lovie wins these last two he's more likely to return than not.
  19. First, I don't think I said "more legit" I said "as legit" which is an important distinction. My point was, outside of those two teams no one had really distinguished themselves clearly, especially in the NFC. I would put the Chargers ahead of them but depending on this weekend I don't know if I would change that. The NFC is completely wide open. IF the Vikings get homefield I like their chances better than anyone but the Saints. If the Eagles get homefield, then no, the Vikings don't have nearly as good of a chance as Philly.
  20. Also helped that Ray Edwards has been absolute garbage for the last month. Really though the Bears completely made Allen and Kevin Williams non-factor's. Why am I still talking about this [expletive] game?
  21. Was Favre's fumble a problem? Yeah what about when he tried to throw 2 INTs in the 4th quarter? is that a problem? He tried to throw 2 INT's? His intent was to throw INT's? One was a terrible decision. One was just a really good play by Hillenmeyer.
  22. Was Favre's fumble a problem? Yeah
  23. you want some cheese with that whine? boo hoo hoo, the bears won this game, not the vikings blowing it. and not justfor ap's fumble (which was actually caused by chicago), the bears just beat them Hey dumbass, get a clue and realize it was a spoof of sulley's "Only my team" posts in this thread and every game his teams ever play. And I like sulley.
  24. yeah, because iowa and the vikings were like a collective 1,000-0 most of the season and won lucky a few times. my teams never ever get lucky and should have won the game in regulation but dropped a million ints. Or if I were playing your part I would still be talking about the non-facemask call on that last fumble. Or one of the worst non pass interference penalties you'll see on Rice. Seriously man there are what like 10 missed extra points all year in the NFL? One of them tonight happened in a game that went to overtime.
  25. A blocked extra point lost the game. That could only happen to one of my teams.
