  1. Good win Hawks.
  2. We dat
  3. Clemson is a really poorly coached team.
  4. Rep. I'll be the first to say that the Big East is down this year (which a lot of people projected before the season). This feels like college football season where every conference is "down" somehow.
  5. Get to Sunday afternoon already. Sounds like Ray Edwards and Kevin Williams will play but likely won't be 100%. Percy is the real question mark. Didn't practice the last two days and might not be able to play. It all depends on when the migraine subsides. Either way he hasn't been able to take part in film study and meetings the last two days.
  6. No. No kidding. WTF Raw? Jones can't shoot 3's (22%) and is shooting 44% from 2 and 66% from the FT line. As a sophomore, Battle shot 34% from 3, 48% from 2 and 70% from the FT line. Plus his assist rate was 5 points higher, his turnover rate was 3 points lower and he grabbed 4% more of his team's boards. Maybe if Verdell just starts jacking up shots every possession he can score points, but he's not even close to what Battle was last year. That was just the statistical stuff. When I watch him I don't see that many similarities nor do I have the "wow, they're extremely limited offensively but he makes everything happen" reaction. IU is limited but he's one of their more inefficient guys.
  7. We up to 6 or 7 moral victories this year? What's MSU's home record this decade? They're a top 10 team. They've beaten some of our NCAA Tournament teams by 30. We haven't won their in 17 years. We were 22 point underdogs. So yes, even if you're pissed about the state of the program that was a moral victory.
  8. so annoyed with mcdermott right now. very sick of his "we'll play with the guys that want to be here" attitude. go back to the missouri valley to coach scrappy white guys that hustle. you need more than that to win in the B12. sounds like colvin's suspension may end early which is pretty embarrassing. Yikes: Is Mac going to be gone after this year?
  9. Iowa only lost by 7 at MSU tonight which is a clear moral victory. It actually could have been a winnable game. We only shot 7-25 from 3 and missed about 6 wide open looks with no one around. Gatens, a 90% free throw shooter missed the front end of a 1 and 1. May was called for an atrocious goal tend by an official that was 50 feet away and we missed back to back bunnies in the last 5 minutes. Had it down to 3 twice in the last minute. This team is getting better and will have a shot at winning at IU on Sunday. Unfortunately it's at the same time as the NFC Championship.
  10. Marty goes 14-2, loses in the divisional round and gets canned. Norvell goes 13-3, loses in divisional round and gets a 3-year extension.
  11. Oh, I think I could.
  12. Poor Leslie can't catch a break. He supposedly always does great in the interviews and was supposed to be the leading candidate. After his defense shut down the Cowboys I thought it would be his.
  13. The best part of that series is just how doochey Matthew Stafford is. Wait a second, you made a comment about that Matthew Stafford picture without mentioning the girl to his right?
  14. So you are saying he is due to choke...I like it. Well Favre has been really good so I guess it's possible that he's due to choke. Kind of like how Reggie Bush has been a non-factor so he was due to finally have a decent all-around game once in his career.
  15. This should finally be the game that the Vikings can run the ball. The Saints were 29th in rush defense DVOA. Adrian should be able to get to the second level more often and break a couple of big runs. Sharper will be a key. He's not good in run support and the Vikings more than anyone will have a good idea of how to exploit him and some of his free-lance tendencies. At the same time he's obviously familiar with Favre and our offense and is capable of making some big plays. The Saints o-line is better than the Cowboys and Brees can get the ball out quicker than Romo. Pressure won't be as much of an issue but they can't start blitzing too much because it's rarely successful. Favre had 11 games out of 17 this year where he threw 0 interceptions. In those 11 games he threw for 31 TD's. That's 65% of the games with a 31/0 TD/INT ratio while completing 70% of his passes.
  16. Caught part of Boers and Bernstein where they were discussing a report in the Trib that said Tice will have significant say in the structure of the offense." Combine that with Lovie clearly still having a significant say in the defense and these coordinator positions don't seem that desirable.
  17. Jets fan gets arrested at yesterday's game:
  18. Any fandom aside, Cutler has the one most punchable face in the NFL. It's true. I can think of several players that have as punchable of a face as Cutler. I have a hard time. Even when he played for the Broncos and I liked him I thought he had the douchiest, most punchable face in the league. Then he did those GQ photos.
  19. Every fan on this message board told you that. Except some guy who is really really pissed he was right about it right now. Yes you were. Non-Vikings fans should want them to win the Super Bowl because it's the only way you won't have 6 months of Favre coverage. If they win it all I think he's done, if they don't he's coming back. Plus if they win it all Pat Williams promised to retire and strip out of his uniform on the field. He's giving everything to the fans and walking off the field only wearing socks. So you'd have that too.
  20. Any fandom aside, Cutler has the most punchable face in the NFL. It's true.
  21. And another (Greenway) was awesome too. Damn I feel bad for Nate though. Never any indication in college that he would have stuff like this. He never missed clutch kicks.
  22. This. Dude ripped off Brees' pregame spaz chant. pretty sure Brees ripped off Strahan's that douche and they both ripped it off of a softcore gay porn. LOL
  23. This. Dude ripped off Brees' pregame spaz chant. pretty sure Brees ripped off Strahan's that douche Stop taking the focus away from Keith Brookings. [expletive] him. Make a play one time in the game old man. [expletive] Ware and Ratliff and Spencer and all those guys who supposedly weren't able to be blocked. And [expletive] Wade who was supposedly drawing up blitzes that haven't been seen before. Pants on the ground...
  24. I heard that live and thought he was yelling "G-- Damnit Dallas" because he was on that side of the field also. I re-wound it like 5 times last night. Oh and [expletive] the "Death Star" and all those bitches. And Keith Brooking, [expletive] you too. You talked so much [expletive] after you won the '98 NFC Championship in Minnesota. [expletive] you. Stop them next time old man.
  25. But all the Bears fans told me in the preseason that Favre would be a marginal upgrade at best and would fall apart down the stretch. [expletive]. Sorry. I just get so few opportunities to be the obnoxious drunk guy because his team actually won and his predictions turned out right. Plus I don't think it will last past next week. I actually think we match up better with the Saints than the Cowboys but the home/road is huge. Our defense has been SO much better at home this year and Favre was 25-2 TD/INT. We'll run it better, I just don't know if our d can limit Brees.
