  1. Neither of those teams will be in the NFC Championship. Sounds good to me, as long as Farve somehow ends up with egg on his face and the Vikings don't win the Super Bowl. Not winning the Super Bowl means he'll end with egg on his face? He played a great game tonight and took control of things in the second half. It's not his fault the o-line has stretches where they don't know how to block and the defense suddenly is horrible. Or that the defensive coordinator (who supposedly would be a top target of the Bears if Lovie is fired) insists on blitzes that never get there and leaving an 80% CB one-on-one in overtime. Or has a running back who fumbled the game away. Yep, Adrian Peterson is the problem. Yes, clearly that's what I said! He is not the problem. His fumbling is a problem, not the problem. The defense is a problem. The o-line is a problem. The special teams has been great but was a problem tonight.

  3. Yep. Wrong about Favre but when your safeties suck and your top CB is 75% or so, it was easy to see coming.

  6. Our defense [expletive] sucks right now. Frazier keeps insisting on blitzing even though it never gets there and we always get burned. Winfield clearly is not healthy yet, but we leave him 1 on 1 half the night. He was even with the WR on that last play until the 20 and couldn't push off to accelerate. How does Frazier not see this [expletive]?
  7. Just because your QB is a drama queen doesn't mean you have to be one. The Bears are like the Skins, they are just playing out the string. So if the Vikings can't beat the Bears then your team won't last long in the playoffs. I thought the Panthers were just going to be playing out the string last week too. Then they came out with a beatdown. The Vikings have played two primetime road games this year and have played awful in each. The o-line and defense have been bad on the road lately. Combine all that with Favre's terrible history in the cold lately and I don't see a Vikings blowout. I told you [expletive].
  8. Pat Williams is out tonight.

  10. I've got a really bad feeling that Cutler shreds the Viking safeties and Favre has a horrible game in a Bears win.
  11. LOL, this is exactly what Dan Bernstein has been saying for a couple of weeks. They know they need to fire him, they're going to fire him, they just don't want to do it yet.
  12. Last evening you thought your health issues were so serious that you had to resign from your position. Then some people talk to you, your team has a "spirited practice" and suddenly you're good to go next summer? WTF?
  13. The Cowboys aren't getting the 2 seed. The Vikings won't lose both of these games. I am worried about winning both though so go Cowboys next week. The NFC really is wide open, any of the 6 could make it.
  14. When your o-line can't run block or pass block, there aren't many magic plays the OC can call. On top of that you have a QB who has made a ton of bad decisions and shaky WR's. To put the majority of the blame on Turner is just off base in my opinion. What?
  15. How do the announcers not know what's going on when their cameras showed a still shot of his leg snapped for like 5 seconds? "I think he may have rolled an ankle"
  16. Thinking that it's a stupid use of money means I'm being a jerk?
  17. You're paying for a seat to watch the game. Just like paying for a movie ticket. Whether the game/movie/concert sucks is irrelevant. You paid money to watch an NFL game and received that entertainment. Sure you're paying for the hope of being listened to but it's not going to do anything. It's a billboard in the suburbs. It's just an antiquated, pointless exercise that I think is dumb.
  18. http://bearfansunited.org/ I'm all for the sentiment, but what a waste of money. I don't think it's a waste of money, but then again it is not my money. It's a waste of money because you get no benefit from it. It accomplishes nothing. You don't receive a service, good or entertainment. I guess you could point and say "Ha ha that's awesome we got that billboard" so if you're an idiot you get enjoyment from it. There's nothing wrong with doing it, it's just dumb.
  19. The more I see the Jazz, the less and less I would ever want Carlos Boozer on my team. And I was a guy who was hoping for a year or so that the Pistons would sign him as a free agent this past summer. I also think Joe Johnson is going to get very close to a max contract.
  20. I would love to see it happen followed by the Eagles jumping them for the Bye Week spot. I said this earlier in the year, the Vikings are just not as good as their record. In addition to their 3 losses, they should have lost 2 more (vs. SF, @ Balt). They were a miraculous once in a lifetime throw and catch, and a missed 40 yard FG from being 9-5 instead of 11-3. While that's still a decent team (although they've had a pretty easy schedule with STL, CLE, DET (x2), SEA on their schedule), it's probably not a SB contender. I Think FO's DVOA said their offense is 9th in the league but their defense is 16th overall (and 25th against the pass). They are a above average team but I don't think they are one of the elite teams out there, especially if Favre keeps his usual December collapse going. I know. No one else in the NFL wins games they could have lost. Especially not the teams with good records. They're not invincible and they've been really bad in 2 of the last 3 games. They're still a top 5 team in the league this year. Yes the Vikings have the 30th easiest schedule this year. Know who is 29th? The Saints. Know who is 27th? The Eagles. Know who is 32nd? The Packers. The Cardinals and Cowboys are 24 and 25. They're more legit as a Super Bowl contender than anyone outside of the Saints and Colts.
  21. I do when you are an old QB who has worn down in recent years and the game means nothing. How the eff does the game mean nothing? They're only up on the Eagles by 1 game for the bye. If they lose out they probably lose the bye. That means nothing?
  22. It was idiotic on Childress' part but a couple things need cleared up. First of all he wasn't going to bench him for performance. It was because he was getting killed and Childress wants to preserve him. Favre said I'm fine, there's no way I'm coming out. I have no problem with that.
  23. 3 straight "meh" games for Favre. Not bad. 30 45 275 2/2 completions/attempts/yards/td/int 17 30 192 1/1 16 24 161 0/0 the only one you could argue wasnt crap was the first one, and that's only if you didn't actually see the game. he tried to throw like 8 picks that night. the last 2 were just crap. Against Cincy's pass defense last week most definitely was not a crap game. Especially with his #2 WR out. Tonight he really wasn't bad. For some reason we left our tackles one on one with Peppers all night and he had zero time. The 3 meh games have come against 3 of the top 10 pass defenses in the league, two of them on the road. That was a horrendous performance tonight. Awful in all aspects. Dominated up front on both sides. Secondary was terrible.
  24. After dropping 18 on Drake in a win last night. Anthony Tucker was arrested for public intox. He was arrested last year for public intox and missed the 2nd semester due to grades. Most likely he's gone. Lickliter cannot catch a break of any kind.
  25. Just don't give up homefield. EDIT: Who wins homfield if Vikings and Saints tie? Would it be the Vikings because of a better conference record? Yeah if there's a tie the Vikings get it because they would have 1 NFC loss, Saints would have 2. Ugh if that [expletive] Redskins debacle ends up being what gives the Saints homefield...
