  1. Best case scenario, they're still not good enough to beat the Lakers next year. Then you have a lockout in '11-'12 and in '12-'13 Durant, Westbrook and the Thunder are ready to take over when Wade is 31+ and breaking down.
  2. Super weak move LeBron. Somehow he found a way to make me really root for Kobe and the Lakers if they get to the Finals. Or the Bulls and Celtics in the East. Poor Cleveland.
  3. Don't tell me we're going to get another commercial.
  4. From 45 minutes ago. The perfect CYA so later you can say "I heard about this beforehand" without saying anything.
  5. IF you're buying what the ESPN guys are selling, it hasn't. But even Broussard has hedged his bets.
  6. It is fairly amazing in this age that this really was kept secret.
  7. The worst part of the Heat trio would be the non-stop coverage. Every stupid show and SportsCenter would question whether they were really working well together or if someone was being selfish. Every last second shot would be beaten to death.
  8. I think it's going to be Cleveland. Simmons compared the Miami scenario to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H76DwHgOwpA
  9. That's a great column. I know it's cool on the internet to hate on Simmons now (after it was first cool to like him) but I still enjoy his stuff, especially on basketball. I really hope he stays with the Cavs. If not, I'm with Simmons on how much my opinion of LeBron has changed.
  10. The Wolves have been trying to dump Jefferson and I've heard they wouldn't be sad about parting with Flynn after his complaining. I don't know how much or if the Cavs could dump the salaries and they would have to get creative and make it at least a 3-team deal.
  11. you got me me too
  12. So you honestly believe LeBron would have a better resume than Wade? This is so incredibly dumb. LeBron has been the better player, is the better player and will be the better player. In fact the gap between the two is only going to get larger in 3 years or so when Wade likely starts to decline while James should age very well. But you're right. Because Wade won a title first and was in Miami before LeBron, he'll have a better resume. Please. I'm still hoping he stays in Cleveland.
  13. I honestly believe Chris Broussard is being used by James' as a puppet, and that the Heat is a smokescreen. I think it will come down to Chicago and Cleveland. This is why you don't believe anything ESPN or their writers, etc, say because there is a huge conflict of interests. I think Broussard and the Heat are being used. Except Broussard wouldn't be a puppet and this wouldn't be a smokescreen if he were reporting James to the Bulls. Then you guys would be talking about how he was the first to report Wade/Bosh. And he would be a classy guy, best in the business.
  14. I want to talk about how the Bulls should pull the trigger on that 3-way trade with the Pistons and Blazers.
  15. http://twitter.com/jgoff670/status/17998674401 Haha awesome. I love rivalries in the NBA, and we already had 1 with Miami before all this, and now its going to get even better. There are no real rivalries in the NBA anymore though, that's just talk to get fans excited. Those guys are all cool with each other.
  16. What is Rip's contract situation? Bad
  17. What about this Bulls/Blazers/Pistons trade rumor ? Deng to POR Rip to CHI Joel and Bayless to DET Please make this happen.
  18. What? You're aware that Cleveland was 20 games better than the Bulls last year, right?
  19. Even better. Now let's hope Lebron comes to Chicago or goes to rot in NY or NJ. If he goes to NJ he's not going to rot. At least not on the court. LeBron + Lee with the Nets makes them a top 3 team in the east.
  20. Yep somewhere in the upper 40's, flirting with 50 sounds about right to me. They won 41 games last year with Noah missing time, Rose hobbled for the first half of the year, and the worst tactical coach in the NBA. They just added one of the best interior scorers in basketball. Rose will get better. Noah will too. That's a lot of good stuff. The only loss is Hinrich and he's really not very good. Hinrich isn't great but whoever they get at the 2 is probably only going to be a marginal improvement overall. Injuries are going to happen and Boozer has missed something like 138 games in the last 6 years. They've put themselves in the mix to contend in the east, the level of which will depend on LeBron. I think they would have been better with Lee but I really like him in NJ.

  22. Nabokov headed to Russia to play in the KHL.
  23. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AqytBLDSIZfi_F0k8fDUttK8vLYF?slug=ys-durantthunder Kevin Durant signed a 5 year max extension with no opt out. I'm so jealous of Thunder fans. Although then again they did suffer for years to get...wait, nevermind. Poor Seattle.
