Why can't we get a Scott Van Pelt interview with Dan Gilbert on SportsCenter. He has to be willing to go on tv right now.

That's a steal for the Wolves, no risk. Unfortunately that's probably one of the worst organizations for him to realize his potential.

He became my favorite player in the league last year (well behind Jonas Jerebko that is). Since the Pistons can't contend, they're definitely my team to pull for in the playoffs. If only they were still in Seattle...

i liked that part. he was so pissed he didn't even have time for a proofreader. He may have become my new favorite owner. He issued an official statement that's like something an irrational message board poster would type. Which is weird because I usually hate those guys on message boards. Still, way to step out there man. He's got a pair.

The Heat can grab a guy like Luther Head to take the minimum and probably shoot 40% from 3 because he'll have wide open looks whenever he's on the floor. Marc Stein says Dan Gilbert just issued a long statement blasting James and saying their fans didn't deserve this "cowardly betrayal". He also said this: "I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

Mark Jackson said he had his kids watch it with him because he wanted them to see an example of how LeBron handled it and said it was a thing of beauty. Also said he's appalled that they're burning his jersey and they should be hanging it up instead. Okay.

Udonis Haslem or Brendan Haywood would be nice coming off the bench, but if Drew Gooden got paid like he did, they'll price themselves out. Haywood got something like 6/$55 from the Mavs today. Holy. Crap. Is there any big that Mark Cuban won't overpay for? I guess the 6th year is not guaranteed and it's only $7-8M per year guaranteed depending on incentives so I guess that it's not that much out of whack with the market this year.

Agreed. Wade is the only one I don't really dislike more now but I would if I were a Bulls fan. Bosh was just annoying through the whole thing. LBJ clearly takes the cake with the one-hour special.

In the words of John McEnroe "you cannot be serious." Spoelstra's seat just got supernova hot right now, which is appropiate given the franchise's name. If Miami gets off to say........even a 5-12 record (maybe unlikely, but still in the realm of possibility) see how quickly Riley fires Spoelstra and takes control of the team. That's his M.O. I can't remember such a high-profile athlete completely crushing his image so quickly without a legal incident. To go along with so many general NBA fans you have guys like Simmons (who used to love him) saying he'll never like him again for creating a one-hour special to give Cleveland an eff you. Spoolestra is going to "resign" to spend more time with his family by January.
