    Buster Olney was on ESPNews and he said that the O's were one of the teams that Nevin had to get approval for if he's traded there. Olney said the Pads were going to play Xavier Nady at 1st now and if Nevin rejects the trade, he'd probably ride the bench.

    Could it be possible that the reason Blanco's Starter's ERA is so much is lower is that he has primarily caught Mark Prior this season? Obviously, that's not going to account for all of it because Prior missed a number of starts this year but I think that has a big factor in it.

I don't understand why SweetEmotion was banned. He didn't say anything inflammatory on the board unless its a PM or something. I really don't see the need to give this guy a vacation.

    Do we have any published confirmed reports saying Grieve is the one begin removed from the 25 man roster or is that all speculation? Regardless, a move will have to be made to clear a spot for Gerut on the 25 man for Tuesday night's game.

    What does one game prove? Neifi Perez had 3 hits in a game about a week ago, he still sucks and I don't want him on this team. Dunn on the other hand, I like.

    I don't know how much trade value Dubois had in the past or heading into this season. But this deal seems to fit into the line of Cub players who's value have plummeted being dealt for much less than they once could've fetched.

    The White Sox need a thirdbasemen. I won't argue that Lowell is much better than Crede. But Crede's back has been acting up the last two weeks and Lowell has been show to produce much more than Crede ever has.

    Actually, the AL Central is a much improved division this year. The Sox, Twins, and Indians are all over .500, the Tigers are right below it and the Royals, well the Royals are the Royals. There was a time about a month ago when the AL Central had the best combined winning percentage of all the divisions in MLB.

    Someone will insight into contract specifics probably could address this question directly. What's the magic number for Walker's PA for that option year to kick in for 2006? It might be a moot point about turning Garciaparra into a 2B if Walker/Hairston are still on the squad.
