    This is scary stuff. If it turns out there is more than just the fraying in the shoulder, heads should roll after Wood was brought into the game last night. In my mind its completely inexcusable to bring a pitch in a game when its already declared he'll be shut down in two days. There's no benefit whatsoever by having Wood pitch last night. Was it some last hurrah for this season? Why run the risk? Why???

    I know was already discussed a bit, but its stupidity defies me. Why the hell was Kerry Wood brought into this game??? Absolutely nothing comes out of having him pitch after its decided that he'll be shut down for the year.

    Me too. And it's one of the few spots on the web that actually makes me laugh out loud. Sometimes to the point of crying. Kid Tremendous is my hero. I've got to stop reading it at work, I try to muzzle my laughter but I don't think it does the job. The bloggers are able to encapsulate what more intelligent baseball fans say about the commentators that cover our favorite game. Its not just the Joe Morgan stuff that kills me. John Kruk, Steve Philips, Rob Dibble, and Kevin Kennedy are complete morons. I see them on tv but to see them articulate their thoughts in writing is dreadful.

Dear Lord is there are reason what so ever to put a 33 year old journey man 3B on the 40 man roster? With all the potential Rule 5 roster moves this off season why add McClain when its gonna pose a problem in three months?

    I think its appropriate that this particular game thread didn't even reach 10 premium pages 3 hours after its finished. We probably won't get past the first page by the last weekend in September against Houston.

    Why bring up a SS when a 3B is needed. I really hope Nomar isn't going to be playing 3B everyday when Ramirez is DL'ed. At least Macias is staying on the bench. Why not Fontenot or McClain?

    I agree, but I like the overall look Hoops. I think the A's would rather have a Pinto/Nolasco rather than Patterson and/or Hairston.
