  1. Good. Someone within the Cubs organization needs to step up and say it. Patterson has been horrible this year but in no way is Todd Hollandsworth getting anywhere near the production that is needed out of a corner outfield spot.
  2. Was Bob Brenly really just advocating replacing Patterson instead of Hollandsworth in a trade?
  3. Hairston sure deserved it. I swear, he must be the dumbest player to come from a successful baseball family. That guy has made WAY too many dumb plays.... Moises Alou?
  4. Ramirez is sitting today, Macias is in his spot batting 7th.
  5. It's been great to have Ramirez play like he's compable of doing the last month or so. It would be a huge blow to our already mediocore offense to have his bat out of the lineup for an extended period of time. The only positive out of this is the potential for Cedeno to maybe get some AB's at 3rd or Perez shifting to 3rd and Ronny at SS. But I fear, we'll see Macias in there for any period of time.
  6. It is completely inexcusable to start Enrique Wilson in any game, in any situation. I'm not sure what Jerry Hairston, Jr. did to Baker but he can't seem to find the field recently. At least he got to pinch run yesterday.
  7. I'm just throwing this out there as I have no real insight into this even being a possibility but is there any chance Maddux retires after this season?
  8. Now the SCORE is reporting that Dusty has changed the lineup so Hairston is now leading off and playing 2B. Not to fear Perez lovers, he's spelling for Ramirez today because of the "weather".
  9. I picked my tickets up from the ticket office today with no problems. I was there for a grand total of 3 minutes. I didn't have to who my credit card but I did need my confirmation numbers and photo identification.
  10. I'm curious to see if anyone has picked up their tickets through will call already. I'm planning on picking them up tomorrow but its not exactly an easy drive for me to pick them up. March 15th was the date given to pick up tickets after but I was curious to see if anybody had anyway to confirm their order would be ready before they went to pick it up. It was really be a pointless trip for me to make if my tickets weren't ready. Thanks in advance.

  12. This is so disappointing. I've been looking forward to this day for months.
  13. If somebody gets in using the Control+N method, can you please let everyone know if the heading of the website changes so we know to click on a different window if it enters us without us knowing.
  14. It's my understanding that it doesn't matter what game you click on when you enter the VWR. Once you're selected it gives you the option of all games available to buy tickets for. That's what I'm saying too. I don't think it matters which date you initially select to get into the VWR. The screen says you'll get a full schedule and can pick from there.
  15. The VWR screen says once your picked you'll see a full schedule and will be allowed to pick your games from there. It sounds like you can just click on any "T" from the schedule page and pick any date after that. Who knows.
  16. Thanks for the great interview Mark and Tim.
  17. I'm probably being nit picky here because I know you already included the list of people who donated the prizes but I think it would be neat to recognize those people even farther by showing who donated which prizes.
  18. We've had discussions on where to host it. Wherever it is hosted, there will be announcements for it in the other forums once the contest opens. Thanks, I was hoping that would be your answer. It seems the more people that enter, the better.
  19. Great work, Serena. I think this should be really interesting. My only question is the location. Is this contest just gonna be held in the Game Thread Forum? It seems there would be more people interested if it was in Baseball Discsussion. Regardless, I'm signing up and plan on finishing 18th.
  20. He's a big fan of the front row behind the plate seats at Miller Park as well.
  21. Thanks for the updates everybody. Stay safe on the roads for the rest of the weekend.
  22. That was the most exciting Bulls game I watched since the championship run. And I had a chance to go to the game and turned it down. I'm a moron.
