  1. I just can't believe Mitre is the #2 starter.
  2. Cuse is the only coach that I know of that is on here...though I could be wrong. I am.
  3. I like the lineup again, keep it up Dusty. Thanks for filling us in, Bruce.
  4. It's not for the players. It's for all the cities like Cincy where the fans only care on Opening Day and if it rains out they can play the next day and all those fans can still use their tickets for "Opening Day." I hate it too, but I would do the same thing if I was in their place. I liked the Sports Guy's idea of having opening day for everybody be Sunday afternoon. You can have an opening night game on ESPN still. There's nothing going on between Final 4 Saturday and Championship Monday. More people could avoid conflicts with work to attend games. More people could catch the games on TV. You could also schedule the occasional 4 game series that first week, which would help deal with some of the odd quirks with the varied divisions. I read that today too, and I completely agree. I don't know of any reason why MLB couldn't start everything on Sunday instead of Monday. It would incread the convience for millions of fans. Then again, we are talking about MLB and this plan makes too much sense for them to implement it.
  5. since when does steroid use lead to more injuries. I'm no expert on the subject, but if I remember correctly, both Bonds and Sheffield used steriods to help them recover from injuries quicker. It seems contradictory to take steriods in the recovery process if they only cause more injuries in the long run.
  6. True. They are beyond awful. Singleton sounds like he's a highschooler learning how to do a broadcast.
  7. Its great to have baseball back again. I'm very pleased to get a win today. Hopefully Matt Murton blossoms into a solid contributor on this team for years to come.
  8. I've been told that the work will be done in time, they have two shifts working all week to ensure that they do. They're putting the finishing touches on the restaurant thing in the batters' eye.
  9. If they think so highly of McCarthy why are the shutting him out of gettting a chance in the rotation? Then again, the magically health of the White Sox can't possible continue for another full season. McCarthy will more than likely see some starts this year.
  10. Pierre's head is freakin' tiny. He's like a 4 year old girl. I'm surprised he doesn't have to wear a one size fits all hat.
  11. I really wish Wuertz would find his consistency. He looked really sharp right there, hopefully he can put that together when the real deal starts on Monday.
  12. nice hitting by Pierre. I like to see that more than his twice a game slap bunts.
  13. Ah, hell. I'll join in on the fun, too. Care to wager on that? I don't wager, ever. Well........I *did* bet on the Marlins on games 6 and 7 and won about 1,500 bucks. Almost never. It's a feeling, based on past history with how our starter's injuries tend to go. you've got to be kidding.
  14. Thank you Derwood. C.C. ate a lot this off season.
  15. which came first the chicken or the egg?
