  1. Just lob a pitch on the outside corner on a 2 strike count to Suzuki and he’ll strike out looking. Throw it off the plate and he’ll chase.
  2. They love picking Sundays to not hit home runs and strand 15 base runners, in the first few innings and struggle to score once the pitcher settles in. They’re been a few outliers but generally this is what they do.
  3. Going by the spirit of this forum, PCA technically didn’t do his job with that weak contact.
  4. Time for the top of the order to get going, especially Suzuki and Tucker especially today with Brown on the hill.
  5. What is Alcantaras trade value at currently and how likely is it that’s he’s dealt compared to Rojas, Bellestaros, Wiggins or Cassie? I haven’t heard much about him lately.
  6. Just to add to what’s already been said, Assad had a 2.47 ERA in Wrigley last season which was the most pitcher friendly park in baseball and a 4.87 away, without the wind knocking down every ball behind a golf glove middle infield and PCA who’s a human golden retriever. Beyond just the surface level stats the eye test alone tells you their upsides are worlds apart and Assad was way too human outside of Wrigley’s pitcher friendly conditions.
  7. Are slurve pitches ever really taught by coaches as a specific pitch to add or it simply the name of a pitch that naturally as something In between a slider and a curve with the intention of throwing either of the latter pitches?
  8. It seems like he has better ride on his 4 seamer from the naked eye too. It also seems like he throws a lot of 2 strike pitches in the zone as well which might also play a role. What does ZIPS say? They’ve been on the money with Shaw albeit in limited at bats.
  9. Too bad the rotation and top of the order hasn’t benefited from the lack of jet lag with any consistency since break.
  10. Why does this slump have to overlap just in time to play the f****** whitesox?
  11. Tip of the cap to Civale. He’s been making everyone look silly this year.
  12. Game 104 vs game 2 of the whitesox World Series. Don’t embarrass us again tonight, if the weather allows a game tonight.
  13. 2 minute half inning, Sox score another 3 runs, 1 minute half inning, Sox score another pair in the bottom half, rinse and repeat until the top of the 9th.
  14. What a despicable, chicken horsefeathers performance by this team. They’re getting massacred by bad teams lately too.
  15. I’m complimenting the whitesox. Right now they look like the march Cubs playing vs the Athletics. Point to where I’m blaming the offense of slighting them,
  16. Another chicken horsefeathers, uncompetitive blowout loss. Sickening, especially to the whitesox of all teams. Their last 7 losses have been by 43 runs and counting.
