One thing that’s stuck out the most is the magnitude of every pitch, inning and run scored. Before the rule changes it’d be 2-0 Cubs in the first inning, I’d think to myself, that’s cool and check back in an hour 1/2 during the 5th inning. Now with the pitch clock all the action is condensed and if I look away for a minute I’ve missed 2 at bats and it’s a 3-2 count.. Before, I’d look away and the only thing I missed was a couple pickoff attempts and a mound visit. It’s definitely added to the intensity and has had a semi football effect for me.
My ADHD brain appreciates it.
