  1. Which he did on Tuesday facing 24 batters. He saw the top of the order 3 times at least.
  2. I hope it’s stupidity. I can’t find any updates anywhere on why he was pulled yet.
  3. Shaw’s unaffected by Hendricks sinker ball tendencies? I’m happy he’s in the lineup though.
  4. Rockies are down 4-0 to the pirates in the 6th inning, as it stands they’ve broken the 1932 Redsox record-345 run differential at -349 with 3 innings left. There’s 31 games left after the final out.
  5. Horton solidifying himself as a key rotation piece in the playoffs is huge as long as his arm holds up.
  6. Cubs are an elite Saturday road team with a 10-1 record outscoring opponents 84-25 with wins over the Astros, Tigers, Dodgers, Yankees, Brewers and Mets by a combined 51-13 score.
  7. 6/8 to be exact. They’re 11-10 this month despite scoring 62 runs for a 2.95/game average.
  8. That should be the only reason why. He’s hit a wall for over a month and was brought in to prevent another may of 2024. Instead, he’s contributing to one even if it’s caused by injury. I don’t think it’s fair to hate him for that but the situation is extremely frustrating. 6 home runs since June.
  9. The Wrigley park factor plays a role here assuming it’s park neutral. Interesting.
  10. That’s always been Swanson. He’ll go through long stretches of slumps and go on a couple 2-3 week tears a year. He’s not the big middle of the order bat like the others we rely on like Tucker who hasn’t carried an offense through a slump. The consequence of this visible and similar to last May.
  11. I have more faith in Suzuki bouncing back than PCA and even Tucker considering the uncertainty with his finger injury no matter how far fetched that sounds and any denial on his part that he’s fully recovered. You don’t see top 10 sluggers in contract years cliff dive for such a sustained amount of time without a serious underlying issue. Hopefully it’s mechanic and mental and he’ll bounce back back to the guy we traded for. PCA shattered his pre season projections and seems to be regressing back into a solid hitter with GG defense and capable of stealing 40 bases. Still an all star caliber player in a slump but I have some serious doubts that first half pop will ever come back with his plate approach. That’s ok, but people are still chasing the dragon of his first half success. The crux of it all is Tucker was brought in to carry the offense through a slump and because Busch PCA and Seiya aren’t the type of guys to carry a lineup people have raised their bar of expectations because they were all on pace for breakout years beyond what anyone predicted and we all forgot these guys aren’t mid-high 800 OPS guys despite trending that way, they waited until after the break to hit a wall. either way this is the worst 30 game stretch of his career I believe.
  12. Responding to your post from yesterday, what do the expected stats say about Suzukis projected power numbers? I can forgive bad BABIP luck as long as he’s making hard contact. The lack of pop even outside of wrigley and ugly at bats are still a theme.
  13. Correct. Did people forget how Suzuki lead the league in RBIs and both were on pace for 40 homers + a 40/40 season from PCA 5 weeks ago? It’s like having Brian Lahair and Frank Schwindel falling off a cliff after their hot starts. 3 bats at the top of the order who are borderline replacement level. WTF happened?
  14. It’s Jaw dropping how horsefeathers useless Tucker PCA and Seiya have become. WTF happened to them?
  15. Swings at strike one that basically touched the horsefeathers plate. Three guys in the lineup have been performing at a below replacement level pace for way too long and all in the worst spots in the lineup.
  16. Who’s ridiculous? He’s sitting at 567 since the all star break in 122 PAs. I’m pointing out how he’s been awful over the last month+. Is that a ridiculous observation or are you referring to something else?
