  1. The league has figured him out, Wrigley was a fly ball vacuum in 2024 and relying on only 2 pitches to get righties out isn’t ideal either.
  2. The offense had been dogshit since Thursday outside of the 6th inning on Saturday
  3. It’s not just all star brewers starting pitchers anymore.
  4. Not to mention they had a day off on Thursday at home while the Cubs had to play 4 games in 3 days before flying into Milwaukee at 2 AM on Friday. It didn’t just fatigue the pitching staff but the position players too.
  5. It rarely seems to play out how it was drawn up in the offseason. Braiser, Hodge and Pressley were replaced by Palencia, Keller, Pomeranz and Theilbar last year and outside of Webb, Palencia, Milner and Theilbar, it’s more musical chairs. Rollison, Thornton even a couple weeks of Riley Martin have become the latest darts that have stuck. Albeit, there’s a ton of margin for error as long as you can minimize home runs behind that defense.
  6. 46-38 is beyond fine when you account for Palecias 2 IL stints, Boyd missing 2 months and Horton only throwing 8 total innings, and those are only the key injuries. What will the future hold without Brown, Cabrera and the Iowa cubs bullpen is anyone’s guess.
  7. Brewers are in a bit of a rut offensively so this series was perfectly timed with the pitching staff in shambles.
  8. This mother horsefeathers can’t get a major league hitter out, neither can the guy warming up, what a shame
  9. Swanson is the last horsefeathers guy I want up in a contact situation. Nice clutch at bat there.
  10. Dean is a career 400 hitter versus righties so maybe it’s a reverse split kind of thing.
  11. That’s what I was thinking but you can still pinch run for a ghost runner I think.
  12. Dean in anticipation he’ll be a ghost runner in the 10th inning that we may not get to? Pinch running is an option so that’s not it.
  13. It’d be amazing if they somehow found a way to win with McGil ant some point and whoever we’re trotting out.
  14. Bregmans inevitable. Move him the horsefeathers down in the lineup already.
