technically, Arkansas should have lost to Vandy and Alabama, but they didn't. When it got down to the nut cutting, they did (barely) what was needed to Win. It can be seen as a positive or as a negative, that's for sure. I've been most impressed with Arkansas getting better with each passing week.

Last week, the Hogs were ripping SC a new one then shot themselves in the foot in the 2nd half --- still moved the ball at will, but turned the ball over. Wow. . . 28-7. .. . . .I'm salivating.

Tenn had given up a 100 yard rusher in 3 of their past 33 games. . .. . .McHeisman has 120 now.

hehe. I ranted at you because I was p'd the Hogs leapfrogged my Badgers. now I come back to see you defending them, so I feel bad. still, should have losts should be considered when these guys vote. When did Arkansas leapfrog Wisconsin? Wisconsin wasn't ranked until Week 7 which was when Arkansas leaped into the rankings with the victory at Auburn. ETA: Also how do you define a should-have-lost game? How many points down do you have to come back from with how much time left? Week 7 saw the Hogs go from unranked to 17th. Wisconsin broke the top 25 that same week.

well, if we put another one in the endzone here, it's over. The Hogs are hot! And to think, I turned down tix to this one. I'm heading to Starkville next week and will also be seeing the Ark / LSU game in two weeks. It's a good time to be a Hog fan :D

I'd love to see a USC / Arkansas rematch. It's still hard to argue with a 50-14 beatdown at home. Plus, McFadden and the QB don't play defense. Honestly, I think without that ass kicking, the Hogs don't go on and play as well as they have. They were overconfident that day and USC gave them a big ol' wake up call.

so what? why shouldn't the quality of win influence somebody's subjective opinion. seems you want it both ways too. you want everyone to forget about the loss to SC and excuse it for injuries. injuries are no excuse. if you were really a good team you would have overcome it. isn't that what usually goes hand in hand with "should have losts are losses"? Please point to where I want everyone to forget about the SC loss?

Unless USC runs the table. no argument there. It won't be easy for either team to run the table. My fear is that Texas will win out, get in the NC game, and get their butts handed to them.

Wisconsin should move way up, too. Arkansas has the same argument as the rest of the 1 loss teams. They've played better and better each week and have a couple good wins. If they're able to run the table (W's over Tenn, LSU, Florida) a National Title berth wouldn't be out of the question or unwarranted.

so if Hendry offers Ramirez the moon and then some and Ramirez declines, it's all Hendry's fault? There's always the chance that Ramirez has no interest in putting up awesome numbers but taking 9 kinds of bullcrap from everyone from the fans to the coaching staff. I hope he stays, but I have to believe that Hendry is going to do everything in his power to keep him. Contrary to popular belief around here, Hendry is not stupid. -
The conference champhionship game takes care of not playing every team in a conference. So what if Tennessee doesn't play Auburn. If either were the best in their division, they'd play in the conference title game. As it is, Arkansas and Florida have the inside track to that game. If an SEC team gets through with only one loss, they could very well be in the National Title Game. If Arkansas were to win out, they'd have wins against Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, and Florida ---- quite a resume. . . oh, and 12 straight wins. Texas is another team that could easily have but 1 loss.
