  1. Against the A's and one of those hits yesterday was weakly hit and lucky to fall in. He also had an error yesterday, 3 on the season. Problem is the other options aren't exactly great. I just don't think he looks comfortable at all.
  2. Some of them looked a bit tired and out of sorts. Lack of the usual bounce in their step and alertness.
  3. Morgan looked like arse in the 9th yesterday. He's officially the mop-up guy for now.
  4. I feel like Shaw could use a few weeks in Iowa to get going after the short spring. He looks like he's pressing a bit and doesn't look comfortable at the plate or fielding. I'd be ok trying Workman/Berti for a bit.
  5. I thought a lot of guys on both teams looked flat with the day game after a night game. PCA included. He needs to stop chasing so much. He's not nearly a good enough hitter to be worth swinging at so many balls. He also needs to stop wrapping his hand with the base running mitt as he's taking his lead.
  6. Change-up looked great. Could be a game-changer esp vs LHB.
  7. Found this science about traditional bats on FG:
  8. I'm looking forward to the Cubs trading away more of its top prospects for a rental in the stretch run because the owner was too cheap to OK signing enough talent in the offseason.
  9. Pressly throws a 3200+ rpm curveball, which led the mlb last year. His 4-seam is also has the 6th highest rpm in the MLB.
  10. Don't worry we can trade Shaw and our 2025 1st round pick for another star player so Tom can have more money he'll never possibly spend on himself.
  11. His location is off for sure. Hopefully just going to take some starts to find his feel again and nothing else is going on.
  12. The better Tucker hits the less likely we resign him. $$$$$
  13. Ricketts has never signed a megadeal and never will.
  14. I think he'll hit, I just worry about the glove at 3B, he's pretty stiff and I don't see that changing. I suppose there's a chance he can make himself about average defensively.
  15. Can make a good argument yeah. Especially with the glove and Steele.
  16. Wade Miley likely left millions of the dollars on the table.
