  1. True story I met a guy who named his 1st son Anakin and 2nd son Raiden (from Mortal Kombat). He must have amazing wife.
  2. How many guys do you know named Max? Or Muncy?
  3. Why don't they make bats more colorful with some team colors or personal designs?
  4. Last inning Brent Rooker had a swing registering 87.8 mph!
  5. Brown had a 1 percentile EV and Hard Hit % last year, 5 percentile barrel %, 22 percentile groundball %. That's very bad. Getting hit hard and in the air. Something to keep an eye on.
  6. But he went ahead and cut open his arm anyways. What a guy!
  7. Cubs need a humidor to store their bats in AZ during ST, so many broken bats so far.
  8. New rule proposal: for any pitcher who has TJS and was on the 40-man, their current team pays a 10m fine. If that pitcher was on a different team the previous season then that team (s) also pays a 10m fine.
  9. The A's LF and 3B just lollygagged that foul-ball by PCA. Not even a half inning over and they've already given up LOL
  10. Losing both games vs LA and splitting the series on the road in AZ is a pretty predictable start. Agree could be worse. Or better. It's just 6 games. I'd be happy with being .500 on May 1 with this tough schedule.
  11. What about the Oakland Athletics of Las Vegas? I kid...
  12. Joey Estes doesn't strike people out and is an extreme flyball pitcher who gives up lots of HR. Could be a fun game to watch as a Cubs fan.
  13. If they're that short in the pen at this early point in the season maybe they should consider calling up Wicks to get more length/innings in the pen and maybe send down Pearson or Morgan who appear to have options. Would be better than waving the white flag (not the white "W" flag) in the 8th inning with a lead and sparing me from gouging my eyes out.
  14. There's just no way they can let one reliever let in 8 runs in 1 inning. Rea should have been in at least after Naylor hit the RBI double and it was 6-7 dbacks. That changes the calculation in the top of the 9th into a 1-run strategy with the heart of the Cubs lineup coming up and puts a lot more pressure on Puk/Moreno & the whole defense. Anyways, Boyd looked quite good, his stuff is very solid, if healthy he can have a good year and be an above-average SP. Pen giving up 10 runs in 3 IP they just sh*t the bed.
  15. Imanaga and Steele throw 92. Guess which of the 3 suck?
