Not to mention guys like Kelly, Bieber, Gallen - rentals with a much smaller price. They literally did nothing of significance and people are making excuses for them. I wonder how the guys in the clubhouse feel that this FO didn't do anything noteworthy to enhance their chances of winning

Before today, I would have said that the Cubs could beat anybody in the NL except maybe the Phillies. After today, I wouldn't even take them in a series against the Mets or Padres. Everybody else got better and the Cubs did not. Castro and some C level bullpen additions don't make them significantly better than they were yesterday.

They had a 6.5 game lead on Milwaukee 6 weeks ago and now are 1 game back lol. If that isn't a strong enough motivation to make some moves then I don't know what is. You don't win championships based on your run differential. It's okay to call them out for the disaster that was this trade deadline.. forget the Brewers, even the Reds were more aggressive. It's not acceptable

With the way things are going, I'll just assume they'll get a stud big leaguer back for Cease. Probably someone they can slide into their lineup immediately and rake lol.

The Cubs could get Mackenzie Gore and I still feel a bit sick to my stomach at how much better so many other teams have gotten. Obviously the Cubs have no control over that, but wow, kudos to the Mets, Padres and Astros for the moves they've made. They want it more

Oh yeah you are right. Guerrero 14 years/500 million. Tucker has no excuse now not to take that.. LOL. Jk. My fear is less so that the Cubs won't make a very competitive offer and more so a desperate team like the Yanks and Red Sox getting involved.

I'd easily do the Guerrero deal for Tucker. 10 years 500 million. That seems fair enough for both sides

He's a stud. Great bat. He's a plug and play DH with upside as a catcher. Wish the Cubs had a spot for him but they are already very lefty heavy.

I didn't realize he was that good against lefties. That would be a very shrewd move.
