  1. Not gonna lie I really like Reese McGuire. Really good defense and while not great offensively, he'll run into one every now and then. Wonder what they do when Amaya is back
  2. That's the first home run by a Cubs starting third baseman this year, according to JD, lmao. That is WILD
  3. I've been much more optimistic these last 2 years. It takes practice. Hahaha. Who did we sweep in April? You are probably right I just can't remember. I remember we blew an opportunity vs the Rangers and Padres at home, along with losing the bullpen implosion vs the Dbacks.
  4. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but on the other side of the coin, when's the last time we swept anyone that wasn't the Rockies or the White Sox. I think this is a really, really good baseball team. Hoping they can make some moves at the deadline to become great.
  5. same, I was gonna lose my mind if Seiya went oppo taco to take the lead
  6. I didn't expect the Cubs to win this game but seeing how it's played out, it would be disappointing not to win. Skubal has looked very hittable the last 3 innings
  7. If Brown can get through one more half inning, that's a hell of a start
  8. If the Tigers score right here, this will go down as the most frustrating inning of the season to date. Need Ben to get out of this badly.
  9. not only had a chance to get 1 but 2 and now they are staring up at potentially 7 IP and 0 ER
  10. Skubal and Gore are great players obviously, but the Cubs could use another guy that can hit LHP. The logical move would be a Long promotion or a deadline acquisition, but I think we are stuck with Turner
  11. I'm not sure if the Braves are selling but I'd give up a village for Spencer Schwellenbach. I honestly can't think of a better fit from a starting rotation standpoint, both now and long term
  12. well at least Tucker should be back in the lineup tomorrow, hopefully
  13. Really hope the Cubs can scratch out a few runs because I want to see Boyd go the distance
