  1. I agree. Morel playing even a competent 3rd would be a big win for us. My fear is, with how often his name has been mentioned this off-season, he’s already been written off by the front office.
  2. Can we do both, while swapping them from dh to first base? Would ease Hoskins back onto the field and gives us a bat with some pop on each side of the plate. I could see Morel going in a multiplayer deal with Cleveland too, which opens up dh.
  3. Can we concede now that old Boob got one right and that’s why hoyer was testy?
  4. I’d imagine Glasnow and Hoskins get announced anytime now (should probably make a twitter account stating that so I can get meaningless followers) But still feel like we need something big here. I don’t want Chapman at all. But I’m getting really nervous we get desperate and sign him. Still holding out hope for Imanaga.
  5. I think we’re unlikely to outbid the New York teams on Yamamoto. As someone else mentioned, could also see the losing teams here get desperate for Bellinger. So this offseason just got tougher. The free agent market kinda plummets in quality a bit after the headliners. I really hope we can get a good trade none of us see coming.
  6. Right? Why would you want to even imply to a fan base that you (in part) ruined this acquisition? Once he takes a breathe he’s gonna wish he hadn’t tweeted that.
  7. Man, these two are huge losers. Linking them after today should result in a forum ban.
  8. Good. We don’t have to do this again. Ever.
  9. Gotta feel for jays fans a little. Yesterday it was all but guaranteed he was going there. Today? They look like nothing more than a negotiating tactic.
  10. Yeah we were never doing that deal. Good for the dodgers. Seems like he was going there all along and used other teams to get the best deal.
  11. Not yet. Get back out there!
  12. If Ohtani ends up signing with the dodgers how mad are jays fans going to be? That would be the ultimate tease.
  13. Yeah I don’t think we’d let this leak out to a former player and announcer. Come on guys 🤣
  14. Don’t kid yourself! It’s still bleak for us.
  15. I respect Morosi for not taking the tweet down. Though, he may be headed to witness protection from jays fans at this point.
  16. Ive been rather bored and annoyed with how little has happened this offseason. But this…this totally redeems it! 🤣🤣🤣
  17. Yeah, someone is extraordinarily wrong here.
  18. I think this is the difference when you’re a “superstar” who can literally pick where he wants do go though. You can get extremely specific in what you want.
  19. Backup https://twitter.com/JimBowdenGM/status/1733248818957676711
  20. Oh yeah, I’m only talking “in-game”. Hitting in the dome will give him 81 games of completely consistent temperatures. Hitting in Chicago in April, or fighting the wind? Those can be challenges.
  21. I do think the weather in Chicago is one thing not talked about enough. It can be very rough in April.
  22. Yeah, I know people are likely to be very frustrated that we missed on Ohtani and I get that. Me? Truthfully, I’m more annoyed that we decided Yamamoto is too expensive for us. They preach and preach “intelligent spending” this and “paying for future performance not past” that, but when a 25 year old ace is available he’s too “expensive” for us. It’s dimwitted and embarrassing. But hey, we’ll probably acquire nice and safe (contract wise) Tyler Glasgow.
