  1. Oh that’s grotesque. I’ll just add this to my list of reasons to dislike him.
  2. Im a humane man, but hearing Alex cohen talk makes me want to kick a kitten through and electric fan
  3. Yeah, I meant I think someone will take the fall. Most likely Dustin Kelly. Would love for it to be Hoyer though, even though there’s a higher likelihood I’m crowned miss teen USA.
  4. I’ll be shocked if some type of move isn’t made by game time tomorrow.
  5. Good question Alex, asking if they might employ some pinch hitters in the 9th. Guy’s a genuine savant, isn’t he?
  6. I agree. I don’t think managers make as much of a difference as the casual fan assumes either. But we stupidly resigned Jed, so wondering if that will be the desperation move.
  7. Not at all. That’s me expanding on to my point. Not sure why you seem so confused and angry. It’s a baseball forum. Try to relax a little.
  8. I mean, I passively kept an eye on the team. But I had a feeling after the last couple of years they were gonna leave may slightly better than .500 I assume they’ll even out in June and make the playoffs via a wildcard. But I don’t see how they make it much further than that.
  9. Jed has literally never even won a division. Hes in a huge market and has plenty of resources. And still can’t make a team that doesn’t rely on the wild card to get into the dance. I really don’t think it’s dramatic to say he’s not the guy for the job at this point.
  10. I really don’t think this team ever wins any thing of consequence as long as Jed is here. Hes had plenty of money to spend, he just seems incapable of building a roster that’s beyond mediocrity. I’ve barely watched any games this year. There’s nothing inspiring in this organization right now. They always start off hot and then get cold enough where it’s just a wash. I feel bad for the fans that still genuinely care. I used to be you and get annoyed after every loss. Feel nothing this year. It’s pretty awesome.
  11. I think it was always a pipe dream. The fit doesn’t makes sense in that he almost certainly wants an opt out next year.
  12. Between psd and here I’ve never done this, but how do I block a poster?
  13. Yeah, I’d pay more for the younger player. I’m not a huge fan of this deal, but I guess they’re trying.
  14. I’m struggling to see why Jed seems so obsessed with Bregman. Hope it works. If it doesn’t? I fear it scares tom and Jed off more from high money deals.
  15. What is going on with Chicago sports tonight?! Hawks win with a shutout. Bregman signs. Bears win. Let’s never let tonight end!
  16. “Chicago will consider trading either Gold Glove-winning second baseman Nico Hoerner or third baseman Matt Shaw -- Hoerner is a free agent after this season, while Shaw likelier would bring a larger return package because of his six years of club control -- to make room for Bregman's arrival. The Cubs also could keep both in addition to Bregman. The Cubs' fascination with Bregman had as much to do with his leadership traits as it does his pull-happy offensive approach that should fit well at Wrigley Field. As the Cubs try to remain competitive in a loaded NL this season and beyond, they'll turn to Bregman -- who is renowned for his baseball IQ, interpersonal skills and work ethic -- to help shepherd them.” espn.
