  1. maybe i'm just feeling good after the last couple of weeks, but i think that the bears are going to win this game going away. i think ryan throws 3 picks, i can even see him failing to finish the game. he's not the right qb to beat the bears at this point in his career. bears win 38-3.
  2. so, when are teams going to take the safety out of the box? does orton have to throw for 400 yards 16 weeks in a row? seriously, we'd have to play against 8 in the box if orton were in the pro-bowl. poor matt forte.
  3. i feel very confident that the illini will beat both wisco and osu at this point.
  4. oh, they're good. and they'll beat the falcons easily, i feel fairly certain that turner won't be over 100 yards, but matt ryan will throw a couple of picks. the falcons just aren't that good yet. they'll be overwhelmed by the bears' defense.
  5. why blame the cubs franchise? was it their fault that sianis wasn't let in? was it their fault that i purchased anew cubs hat after game 4 of the 2003 nlcs, which apparently intensified the curse---now, we can't even win a playoff game. 9 straight losses and counting since buying the hat.
  6. Harden has to go 9 shut out. he definitely has to pull a josh beckett.
  7. harris is a strange, strange person. i remember him hinting at retirement before the 06 season. i think he's got some emotional issues.
  8. the curse was the last thing from derosa's mind when he was making the error.
  9. So, what kind of organization does this for 100 years? the organization put together a team that won 97 games. this, well, this is not the organization's fault. they've made the playoffs 4 times in the last 10 years, at some point, you have to start wondering. what has to happen to convince people? So what, a curse? what else? do the cubs have to be up by 10 runs in the 4th 5th 6th 7th games of the nlcs only to lose each time to convince you that they're never getting to the world series? Alright. I can feel you on that one. But I think there are also more tangible reasons as well, and I think the organization is to blame, curse or no curse. I feel better blaming them than a goat. they've had bad upper management in the past, that much is true. but 2003 broke my brain, i don't know how we could say that strange things don't happen and keep happening time after time after time.
  10. Frankly? God Himself would have to descend from the heavens holding a sign that says "I DO NOT LIKE THE CUBS AND GENERALLY PREFER IF THEY LOSE". And even that might not do it. well, not all of us can take a hint.

  13. there's nothing wrong with the organization. let's stop pretending like the cubs have a bad organization and that's why they fail.
  14. no, they can come back, but it will be tough. we just have to make billingsley work.
  15. we have to make billingsley throw a lot of pitches.
  16. like i said, the cubs haven't won a playoff game since i bought that damned hat!
  17. those who don't believe in anything should believe in something now. you can't tell me that there isn't something strange at work, here, and there always has been. you can't hide behind the "bad decisions of a poor organization" crap anymore.
  18. cubs haven't won a playoff game since i bought a cubs fitted had after game 4 of the 2003 nlcs. the curse of the hat.
  19. predictions are pointless in the playoffs, they're subjective and dilluted by the incorrect baseball logic applied by all so-called experts. statistically, the cubs have a slight edge over the dodgers, but there's absolutely no way of predicting what will happen.
  20. he's also a very sad human being. i know that he never minced words when he was alive, but now that he's dead, he sure doesn't care what comes out of his mouth or who it affects. his corpse has no class at all and i guess has no reason to play politics. however, he's completely ruined his fairly important legacy in the past 15 or so years. lane kiffin isn't exactly without connections in the national football league.
  21. Wait really....I know hes injury prone, but isn't he reasonably young still? word is, he just doesn't think he can go on without the helmet collision, being as that is the only kind of tackle he knows how to make.
