  1. oh well, story of my football life on that one.
  2. is it legal to just block a receiver like that? looks like illegal contact at the very least on that one.
  3. should have just tried a few runs or a fade route.
  4. they blew it dead anyway, how can they assume possession?
  5. and that's why it makes careless nervous. i mean, jon, sorry.
  6. that's good field position.
  7. now, this is where you play tampa-2.
  8. that's faith, right there.
  9. garza's getting used. metcalf has to be able to do better.
  10. that last man always seems to trip up forte, it's a microcosm of our season.
  11. It's hard for a QB to throw that many passes away. He should have gotten rid of it, but QBs don't like doing that on 3rd downs. i thought that he just waited too long to hit his man. you have to have some faith in your receivers to get open sometimes. even these ones. The only one open was Hester, but that wasn't until Orton was starting to release the ball. The pass would have needed some touch, too. Other than that, nobody was open. that's what i mean, though. you can't always wait for them to get open, you have to anticipate. Had Orton gotten rid of it any sooner, it would have been far too risky. He was still in the middle of the field at that point. Plus, there were three Eagles defenders in the area. it was a safe pattern and he could have put it to the inside, where only he his receiver could have gotten it.

  15. orton is starting to look like a football player.
  16. mike brown doesnt hate the horsecollar rule why? it didn't save him. td!!!!
  17. jackson, great young player, young player.
  18. but i hate the horsecollar rule, and the hitting the qb rule.
  19. I think football is WAY too pussified, but the punter is literally hung out dry when kicking. really? what's he hanging by? I've never noticed any wires or that punters are particularly wet. They usually don't even sweat. Are you being obtuse on purpose? The punter is usually in the air (thus the word "hung") in those situations. So he's jumping in the air and staying there to dry out. that's what you said. if you had not written "literally" it wouldn't have drawn any notice. in his defense, tillman came down right on the kicker's knee. could have been ugly if he didn't get his spike up.
