  1. dude, that's some cub luck right there.
  2. I see what you did there. what happened? Did I miss something? i don't think any of us will miss anything.
  3. I see what you did there. yeah, there's no one left to hate.
  4. RIP yes, indeed.
  5. the sad part is that mizzou could still play for a national championship if they win and they don't seem to realize it.
  6. and btw, i'm rooting for mizzou, even though the late poster of the same name kind of ruined it for all tiger fans.
  7. even though indidana is kind of a d-3 jv at this point, juice has been flinging the ball around with perfect touch.
  8. seriously though, they should just tell him to run out there and hurdle someone.
  9. if Mizzou could play Illinois again, that would really get them going. no doubt, too bad they have to play a team with a defense.
  10. if only the tight end would hurdle someone, that would get it going.
  11. wow, the entire team is like a deer-in-headlights right now.
  12. texas is great on both sides of the ball, mizzou is great on one side of the ball--but they don't look great tonight.
  13. Ron Zook: Still an awful coach. i wouldn't say it's his coaching, i would say that it's his players not giving a damn and walking around out there in a haze, there is a lot of talent on this defense. well that goes back to the coach. it's the same beef people had with him at florida, the performance of the team is well below the talent level of the individual players. i dunno whether he's a lousy motivator or lousy coach, but it does seem like there's something he's not doing right to get them ready. one of his strengths at florida was his ability as a motivator, just ask his old players. he just had a young team in an extremely talented conference. the defense was pretty good last year, so it's not the defensive playcalling. i think it has a lot to do with the departure of leman, come to think of it. the on-field leadership isn't there this year.
  14. it kind of sucks that i like pretty much all of the mizzou fans left on this board, i really hate the team. it looks like they're punting on every snap.
  15. Ron Zook: Still an awful coach. i wouldn't say it's his coaching, i would say that it's his players not giving a damn and walking around out there in a haze, there is a lot of talent on this defense.
  16. if we lose to indiana because the defense just doesn't feel like trying again, i'm just going to freak out.
  17. boston gets miracles, the cubs get disasters.
  18. jenkins scores. he may be emerging as the #2, as judson doesn't seem to want to catch the ball.
  19. of course. illinois pushes the gophers up and down the field and can't get in the end zone, them innesota pops one big play. like i said, what can i say? i'm a cub fan, i'm used to it.
  20. they just keep stopping illinois from getting in the end zone, just barely.
  21. Minnesota is a much better team than they were a year ago. They gave OSU a good fight for a while and already have, what, 5 wins? That said, Illinois is way better and should stop sleep walking through this game it's just really frustrating to watch a team have a career day against you. and it's not like they've really stopped juice, they've just gotten that one lucky play when they've needed it. benn was obviously held on that last pass play.
  22. minnesota is unquestionably the luckiest team in college football. it's a shame to be in a position like this, a shame on the entire program of illinois. there's no excuse for not being able to get a touchdown against the horrible, horrible defense of the gophers. how does the sieve-like d-line of minnesota stop the very good o-line of the illini on 3 straight plays? what a joke. this is nothing new, though. i'm a cub fan after all.
  23. That final score of the Missouri game is a bit misleading and you know it. UI scored a meaningless TD with no time left to bring them back to within 10. And I believe Maclin missed a big portion of the game, too. Was the game a blowout? No. But Mizzou won it fairly handily. C'mon. Don't put me in the lame position of having to defend those clowns. In summary: Donglashings aplenty from the Big 12's top 3 if they played in the Big 10. hardly. illinois was w/o it's best interior lineman and safety and they still missed an easy chance to cut the game to 3 in the final quarter--they just blew it.
  24. so, is rose going to play, ever? haven't heard anything about him. we should have taken the beast.
  25. I'd say the opposite. I think Orton can detect the pressure a lot better than Rex, and sets up the blocking scheme to handle it. this is exactly it. grossman's downfall was that he sucked at avoiding pressure. i honestly saw him brace himself for impact when no one was coming a couple of times.
