  1. haddix through 16 consecutive perfect innings, right?
  2. i think that pence moves and looks rather like a muppet.
  3. What has changed? I was on here 3 years ago saying a new stadium wouldn't be bad and was thoroughly and completely lambasted for it by pretty much everyone on the board. I doubt that. There are plenty of us that would be ok with or even in favor of a new park. There's also a huge vocal segment that would be fiercely against it. I'm honestly not sure who makes up the majority, though. I dunno about a retractable roof though. I guess it can't hurt to have one, but it makes stadiums look more like monstrosities. I would love to have something that looks anything like my favorite ballpark (on TV, still haven't been there), which is SF's. as i sad, safeco is a nice blueprint. it doesn't have the giant beetle-look like miller, and it's not a closed system. all the roof does it keep the rain off. although it may do odd things to the wind.

Maybe you were suggesting one of those horrible suburban ballparks. I could live with no Wrigley. I would not be able to stand for a field in the suburbs where everybody has to drive miles to attend and park in some shopping mall lot and the local hangouts are an Outback Steakhouse and Chotsky's. i was goingto add that the field must be urban, and not karl urban.
  5. i thought that hill had a 97 in 06. He had a 92 according to ESPN. 92, 97. same thing.

  7. yeah, i like wrigley and all, but it's totally overrated. if the cubs built an open-air stadium with a retractable roof in the vein of a safeco field, i would't be at all upset.

  9. that sucks. this takes all the wind out of our sails. have to sit on this for a week now, i'm not happy about it.
  10. IF we win, we stole this one. But we outplayed the Chargers last week, it's them that almost stole it from us. chargers had the game won. delhomme and his noodle arm got extremely lucky with that last pass in the charger gamee. You besmirch the holy name of Jake Delhomme at your own risk, but I respectfully disagree. delhomme is not a good quarterback and hasn't been for some time. i have no idea why they wouldn't go in another direction. but i really don't want to talk about the panthers anymore, thanks.

  12. we usually play very well with a lead. can't believe we blew it, here, against this team.
  13. we deserved to win this game, too. panthers have stolen a couple, but they haven't impressed me at all.
  14. yeah, what a piss-poor showing at home. kind of unbelievable. we better get brent and hardeman back before we play penn st.
  15. in seattle, there's a term for what wazzu will be doing this year: "cougin' it."
  16. i've had just about enough of pac-10 fans, some present company excluded. i hope that ohio state destroys usc, and i'm not exactly an osu guy.
  17. i don't care if ludwick hits a grand slam, walking pujols is the right play.
  18. need updates, plz. gameday forgot who it is again.
  19. how about moving lee out of town this offseason?
  20. wow, those reds don't stop scoring late in games, do they? i've never seen anything like what they've been doing lately.
