I missed the game, but I see that LSU got double-Dicked. Winning this game (especially mising the conference's #4 rusher(only lower than #2 because of injury, mind you), makes the loss to Mississippi State that much more infuriating. The good news is that the offense loks ready for primetime. They started getting in the endzone late in the season; they've got a conference top running back and a couple of backups who can do the job; they're getting a much more talented quarterback in next season; they return the best tight end in the conference in D.J. Williams; and they've got a fantastic trio of freshman receivers in Greg Childs, Joe Adams and Jarius Wright, and they'll all have a year behind them to start next season. The bad news: The defense is still a question mark, since they weren't good this year and are losing a bunch of players. At least they should be able to field 3 entire linebackers from the beginning of the season, rather than converting safeties and whatnot. Also bad news: LSU, Alabama, Auburn (who I expect to be much better next year), Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Texas on the schedule. At least aTm isn't as scary a prospect as it seemed when the schedule was announced earlier this year...they get a chance to get beat by two Arkansas schools in two years now.
