that's nice and all, but alabama is still the number 2 team in the sec. That's debateable and not something I am willing to debate right now. Suffice to say, Alabama can and could be anytime in the SEC even Florida. On the contrary, word on the street is that they cease to exist between 1:26 AM and 2:07 AM on Tuesdays.

Oh, by the way, Smith went over 900 yards on the season in 7 games played tonight.

Holy crap, did Casey Dick just lead a 4 play, 37 second touchdown drive to bring the game within 2 with 1:07 left? Also, DJ Williams is really, really good. He fell 2 spots to #18 in Rivals's power rankings after going catchless in last week's game, but I suspect he'll be jumping back up after tonight. 10 for 129 and a TD. ARKANSAS RECOVERED THE ONSIDE KICK!!! A minute left to win the game. Dick has been tremendous in the second half. He's now 21-36 for 285 with 2 TDs and a pick. And how do you commit a 15 yard penalty in this situation? Amazing. And there's four straight incompletions from Dick. So much for the above. Oh well. I can't be too mad, since I didn't expect them to get to this point.

I feel like complaining about Casey Dick, because it sure is great to throw a pick with :23 left in the half that leads to the opposition scoring. But instead I'll just heap praise upon Michael Smith. Last week he rushed for 192 and 230+ yards from scrimmage. He also suffered a concussion, and was questionable for this game. Tonight he's rushed 9 times for 67 yards. Attaboy, Mike.

but not THE U go gophers I have never heard anyone call Minnesota the U. Probably cause they'd be too embarrassed that they were supporting a team called the Golden Gophers. I mean seriously? The U? That's what everyone calls them in Minnesota and the Twin Cities. When I lived there I only heard them called "The U" or the gophers/gophs. No one says Minnesota. I'm guessing every area has something like that. People around here still refer to it as Arkansas, but it's common to refer to the university by mascot, ot "The Hill." As in, "We've got a new athletic director, new chancellor, and new coaches in football and basketball on The Hill. It's gonna be an interesting year."

I should quit on football. In the last seven days, I had the Dolphins and the Hogs snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I should just go climb a mountain tomorrow.

I think South Carolina is better than most of you give it credit for. I can't express in words how happy I'll be to see a competent quarterback leading this Arkansas offense next year. Vanilla Ice: no, even if the apparent defense is contradictory and/or makes no sense at all.

And there it is. Way to throw a great effort away. Casey Dick's line: 11 for 29, 96 yards, a TD, two picks, and two sacks. 226 yards from scrimmage by Michael Smith gone to waste because of that.

Arkansas has committed 102 yards of penalties. I'd like to say they deserved to win, but then there's that. 3rd-15, Ark8 C. Dick passed to C. Dick down the middle for 3 yard loss what?

This 4th quarter has been absolutely awful. Gave Kentucky the ball twice in their own territory, and both resulted in touchdowns 2 plays later. At least Arkansas gets the ball back with enough time to act like they want to win the game. Everybody who every commplained about "playing not to lose," I feel your pain. 7000 handoffs up 13 points, even on 3rd and long, is just...man.

17-14 Kentucky 24-20 Ole Miss Beating Clemson is not impressive. They're 3-4. Alabama beat Clemson when they were the 9th in the nation. This revisionalist argument has got to stop. You can't fault Alabama for Clemson for sucking after that game. This makes absolutely no sense. Because some people who vote on a poll ASSUMED Clemson would be great before they'd even PLAYED a game, people have to give a win over a 3-4 team extra respect? That's absurd.

Like fans of other conferences (coughsBig12coughs) don't overrated their conferences? Please SEC fans are not the only ones who overrate their conference. SEC football is real football, Big 12 football is Arena Football. Yeah, because that helps your case.

How do you get a 10 yd penalty without a loss of down? Aren't most 10 yard penalties without loss of down? Probably holding. Man, it's exciting to think of how good this offense could be with an adequate quarterback. Kentucky has a very good defense, but still. Right as I say that, Dick runs 23 yards on 3rd and 12.

Damn tulsa has a crazy offense and an easy schedule they have as good a chance as anyone to run the table Tulsa always has an crazy offense. CUSA should be a better conference than it is...stupid ECU.

Nice luck break with the UK fumbled punt return. Arkansas goes up 17-0. Wouldn't have dreamt of this three weeks ago. Now it's looking like the Hogs have a legit chance to make a bowl game if they pull this one out. They'll have Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tulsa, Vandy, and LSU left, and they'll need to win two. of course, it's no done deal, especially with 71-yard touchdown passes and whatnot.
