  1. What the hell are you talking about? The fumble was at the MINN 17, and he managed to gain 15 yards with the fumble, putting them at the MINN 32. The penalty he is disputing happened just after that, and if it wasn't called, it would have been 4th and 4.
  2. Which is the only reason I can think of that caused the ref not to throw it on the low shot. He was reluctant to flag two roughing the passer's on one drive especially if he saw the INT first. I agree that the first call was weak. I think the non-call was a bigger [expletive] up than the call he made though. well i think a lot of these calls are a joke since you can't hit a quarterback high, low, after he releases the ball, lift him of the ground or put your weight on top of him. i don't really consider the "missed" call on favre a bad one because they shouldn't have called the first one, so it would've been a punt and basically the same outcome. no way is it the same outcome, the missed (AND BLATANT) roughing call would have put the Vikings at the 19. Didn't even bother to try to understand and argue what he is saying, did you?
  3. Congrats Saints.
  4. It looked like his hand was under it and no angle actually showed it hitting the ground, so I'm not surprised. Vikes are lucky that wasn't PI since it really looked like he was on Thomas before the ball go there.
  5. Eh, its close. His hand might be under it.
  6. You would think that Payton would eventually realized that pitches and end-arounds don't work against fast/decent defenses.
  7. Forward progress stops when he gets pushed back though. I think the fumble will screw him though. Did he ever lose control of the ball? It might have moved, but forward progress still counts.
  8. Favre plays for the Vikings is plenty of evidence.
  9. That was a hell of a leap.
  10. Thats the thing. Even if you might have been, play til you hear the whistle. I didn't hear any whistle for a good couple seconds after he was on the ground.
  11. Lay down backwards you idiot, the play wasn't dead yet.
  12. They have to move the ball a little before that happens.
  13. Man, the ref really likes to hear himself talk. Just flip the damn coin, you hack.
  14. Wow. Are all the Saints players idiots?
  15. Ha good luck with that Ben. $6-$7 million with another 3-4 in incentives and a mutual option on a second year sounds about right to me. Sounds to me he wants 10mil guaranteed plus incentives What he wants and what will be offered will be very different. He will probably sign for something like 8/1 + incentives + a mutual option. There is no way, unless some really stupid, desperate team (Mets) does it, that he will get 10+ and a player option.
  16. That wasn't his point.
  17. Almost that time of season. If you are not signed up, don't worry, you can sign up at anytime during the season. You will be added to the bottom of the list, even if there are people who have already gone. Starters will go in the order that they sign up. This signup is for regular season games. If it is your turn to start, please have the game thread up by midnight the day before the game (8 am day of game for west coast games, as many west coast night games can go past midnight). If you will be unavailable to start (ex: out of town), leave a post. You won't lose your place if you get back before you come up and will simply wait at the top of the list until you do get back if you make it there. 18. and i'd still take rackers. And you'd still be wrong.
  19. That is correct. What is wrong is that I meant the Bears have their 2010 3rd rounder. I would think that would be obvious from the context of the posts, but I guess not.
  20. draft Terrence Cody edit: Nevermind, forgot y'all didn't have a 1st this year or 2nd or 3rd we have a 3rd ours or Denver's? Denver got 1st Rd 2009, 1st Rd 2010, and 3rd Rd 2009. The Bears still have their Rd 3 2010.
  21. Cowboys 27, Vikings 13 Saints 32, Cardinals 17 Chargers 24, Jets 9 Colts 20, Ravens 17
  22. Wow. What a weak ending.
  23. One of the Cards captains who was walking out just yelled "F---" that was clearly audible.
  24. THEY WERE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE.
