  1. If I went on a Reds forum and said that most the people who go to their games aren't serious fans but just beer swilling, disgusting chili eating rednecks, wouldn't that be inflammatory?
  2. I find it awesome that Soto is the only Cubs player to hit a triple so far this year.
  3. 1G, 1 IP, 1 BB, 0 H, 0R. . . so he really just sat on the bench.
  4. If you have DirectTV, like me, try channel 668. Its CSNC+ when there is something on, such as tonights Cubs Game (usually occurs when two games are going at once, like tonight with the Bulls and Cubs).
  5. I want to win this game so I hope he gets a bunt down so he doesn't hit a three run homer?
  6. I never thought that Pie would be one of those players that came up and immediately mashed. To me, he is one who will need time, probably around a full season, to adjust. If I recall, he has always been kind of like this, especially in AAA. I remember people freaked when he was doing poorly in '06 in AAA, but turned it on late in the season and mashed last year.
  7. The Cards are definitely number one in terms of history, but right now our biggest competition is going to be the Brewers, so I want them to lose as well. I don't care what the White Sox do.
  8. Fuku should have kept running an made Kendall throw the ball, it had as good a chance to go into left as it did to be an out.
  9. Reminds me of a time in high school when my friend picked off a guy from 1st just after throwing over. It was hilarious because after the first attempt, the other team yelled, "Did he get him? NO!" and then he picked the guy off.
  10. One story is about 10 ft. Most houses have 8ft ceilings. I would say that the scoreboard is about 25 ft still.

  13. Not only is Volquez going to be under a manager who is notorious for abusing pitchers, but also he already has had issues with walks, and is going to be under a manger who undervalues walks on offense, and sees no issue with them in pitching. He is going to be taught that nibbling on the corners and walking people is okay as long as you don't give up hits, except that he will give up hits and those walks will only hurt. Plus they will cause his pitch count to rise, meaning that Dusty, who doesn't see pitch counts, only innings, will leave him in for 120+ pitches because he is only in the 6th inning. Volquez could be very good, but under Dusty he is going to be hindered and misled.
  14. I would be playing for being completely correct today if I had realized that I took Temple and not MSU earlier. If I had double checked my bracket, I would have changed it, but nooooooooooooooo, can't do that. Do'h.
  15. i'm (said in a Ralph voice): What's a bracket?
  16. Hey, Bradley made the CBI tournament! WTH is the CBI? Oh, just some random tourney made up entirely to make money and has no real value.

  18. I notice that it does list 8 balks: But I've seen worse (like the yahoo.com white sox box score from last year that had them scoring negative runs in order to correct for having them score more runs then the actually did, and I believe in one inning scoring a letter).
  19. Scott Eyre is living in an RV during spring training. So apparently Rod Beck has taken over his body.
