  1. Shaw out day 2 and against a lefty🤔🤔 Happ finally moved down in order 🥳
  2. Fake team still in lineup today with Berti and Turner in...
  3. Hey Berti got a hit 🤷‍♂️ What super funny is, Cubs only had 5 hits and 3 came from the bench turds in Brujan, Berti, and Turner 😅😅
  4. What are odds Wicks ends up with some sort of "injury " and placed on IL tomorrow
  5. I'll be upset if Caissie, or Wiggins get moved and especially if theyre moved for someone that short-term.
  6. Only way they might consider bringing Caissie up this season is if one of the OFers go on IL, otherwise they won't bring him up just to sit on bench.
  7. Im sure Hoyer gonna do his best to use Wicks and or Brown in any trade package to try and avoid using Wiggins for teams wanting young pitching in return.
  8. When the baseball gods fuks with fans.. Cubs have 3 hits and Turner and Berti has 2 of them 😅😅
  9. Had a feeling I'd be checking out the summer league bulls game earlier then I wanted to, now I'll be bored of it before halftime and have nothing to watch
  10. Don't hate them, as a fan im rooting hard for them to do well, but damn you cant just sit here and say they'll be fine after a month plus of not being fine.
  11. Be nice to figure out a way to win tonight game, then with Boyd and Imanaga the next 2 days they'll have a pretty good opportunity to get at least 1 more win and take the series. Sunday pitching matchup heavily favors the Cubs with Imanaga.
  12. The what if he is bad part is why you put Turner on the IL (if he accepts of course). As someone said above , if he going to get an opportunity, now would be the time before the deadline to see what he can do. As far as positions goes, he has played in his time in the minors... 1B 1200 innings 3B 294 innings LF 162 innings So, yea 1B is his position but he can fill in a game or two at 3B and LF if needed.
  13. True, but that lineup has a few more legit guys that can hurt them then the Mariners have. I'd love to get two, I guess I'll be happy to avoid a sweep and get one if it comes to that.
  14. Sorry, I just saw your post now to me. As far as sending him down during the break, that more of a I wouldn't be surprised if Hoyer did that move. Bringing someone up is more because If he does that, then they'll need someone to replace him now. That all my post was intended to be until someone mentioned about me being management, I should of just ignored instead of asking why and it would of avoided tearing up this game thread with that discussion. My bad IMO, Hoyer has two choices to make in regards to 3B and one isnt just leaving Shaw be and let him play it out there everyday and hope he starts hitting. I IMO just dont think that will do him any good now and just prolong his struggles. I agree the answer to 3B isnt in Iowa, as i said above that was just a temporary move only IF Hoyer decided to make a move during the break and send him down. You and I discussed before, the likelihood of adding a stud 3Bmen like Suarez is very low, but what would be good is getting a guy who can platoon with him at 3B and take some pressure off of him.
  15. This game is exactly what they needed before heading to NY, be awesome if they can get 2 of 3 there before the break, and it a possibility with Boyd and Imanaga going this weekend.
  16. Funny how some of you are not complaining now about Happ and Shaw hitting but im sure if I didn't post about how I think Hoyer might make a decision of sending him back after the break and bring someone else up til he finds another 3Bmen, you all know damn well you'd be moaning about Happ 0 for 5 and again how Shaw looks lost at the plate like you always do. It ok, I'll stand in this field by myself here and I obviously hope they both go off and start hitting because as much as I bellyache about it, I do want them to succeed. Like I said, if Shaw continues to struggle, nobody should be upset about it then.
  17. They gave him plenty of non start days when he struggled in June and July because they at least had Tauchman, Shaw dont have that benefit now.
  18. Sending him back is more about giving him a long pause from what going on with him now at this level and give him a chance to reset. PCA struggle came in June and July and he only made 38 starts in those months cause they had the benifit of Tauchman to give him the days off to ease his struggle, he was able to turn it on in August because of that. Shaw dont have that luxury because they have noone to give him those days off as he is the guy for 3B. If Hoyer gets a guy to give him those days off to ease him back in then cool.
  19. If you dont see a kid pressing when hes hitting, I dont know what to tell you. That awesome he had 2 good AB in the last week but what about all the others, I forgot, bad luck.
  20. Lmao... All of you that ok with sticking with Shaw and not sending him back down, then dont complain about him and his ABs and not getting a hit. Don't be happy if Hoyer gets a solid 3Bmen to replace him if he does.
